We did the grade 3 walk to the upper pool. It's always nice to have a swim after an uphill walk. We would highly recommend it.

Make sure you take the short route to the falls, well worth the walk up to the falls, strip off and plunge in, lovely and refreshing

Lovely waterfalls. Great for swimming. Lady at kiosk very helpful and a charmer. The road in is sealed and an easy drive. Camping available.

This is one place that is undersold and over delivers in an experience. We went to the upper pool for a swim and came back on separate track which was a good decision because we had outstanding views back over the falls. The walks were easy, the upper pool a magnificent place to swim. A place not to be missed... More

It’s about a one kilometre walk to the upper pool with quite a few steps on the way. The walk is pleasant with one or two view points along the way. When you reach the falls it is a bit of a scrambled down at the end but nothing too difficult unless you have mobility problems. The water was clean... More

If you drive north of Katherine for about 40km and take the turn off on the right for another 20km you come to Edith Falls. You can also get here by hiking overland from Katherine Gorge, but I don’t recommend it as it is a 65km walk, can take five days and you have to carry adequate supplies. The falls... More

It was the wet and a few days before Christmas so the falls were completely deserted. The piece and quiet inspite of the immense nature before us was breathtaking. It was boiling hot, flies, bugs were quite a torture yet it was beyond beautiful!

The hike is challenging but not too challenging for families with kids around 8-9 or older. Bring drinking water and swimsuits and enjoy a refreshing reward at the upper pool with its picturesque waterfall. Bring a rag or an old t-shirt to keep the constant flies at bay!

The hike up is pretty short and it's a loop so you don't have to turn back the same way. Pools on top are pretty nice with the falls.
