We stayed here for an hour enroute to other areas. The water was beautiful and cool to swim in. This was well worth a visit for a picnic or just to chill out.

Great spot for a swim at the falls just make sure your wife does not trip and break her ankle. The camp area is fantastic and the pool and café are very good.

This is a well run stopping point on the way to Katherine. The treed/grassed area beside the water is wonderful to just sit/lie and watch the birdlife circle above. The Upper pool is a trying hike but a rewarding swim . The lower main body of water is equally satisfying to cool off. Some healthy young ones sprinted over the... More

So peaceful. Walk up to the Upper Pool for the best of Edith Falls and swimming. As you reach the top of the escarpment turn around and you are rewarded with a fantastic view across the "top end" so to speak. The hill can be a climb should you be a little out of condition (I'm in the late sixties... More

We had been to Mataranka and Katherine Gorge and called in to Edith Falls campground on the way back north towards Darwin. It was magic! The hospitality of the ladies looking after the campground was great. There are two accessible pools, upper, with less access and a series of pools surrounded by rocks, and the lower pool, which is adjacent... More

We live in Darwin and visit Edith Falls every now and then. Last time we decided to head down with the kids and camp there just for a quick weekend trip away without travelling too far, however we got there at about 1530 - 1600 and found that it was totally full. Luckily for us i was speaking to the... More

Spent a few days at Edith Falls, and found it to be very good. Toilets and showers were very clean, barbecues were provided, and a couple of drinking water taps. Nice green areas to camp on.

This is a place to cool down and refresh. Popular with all including tour groups there is a lower level swimming hole easily reached from the car park but if u fancy a walk as well there is a magnificent upper level swimming hole. The only thing don't be fooled by the lookout there is advanced grown foliage that blocks... More

We took a picnic lunch with us out to Edith Falls and enjoyed the lovely grassed areas to sit and have a picnic. There is also a little Kiosk which serves a light lunch menu, milkshakes, ice-creams, cold drinks and snacks. We took our lilo's and floated out to the Fall, also a number of people had noodles to swim... More
