Make time to go on a hike and discover the different pools. During dry season, there's not much water therefore the falls are not that great like in the wet season. But the water is truly refreshing after a hot , sunny day hike. If you haven't got enough time, the lower pool is alright. The hike on the top... More

Well worth the trip in off the highway. I do not normally jump in water but after the hike up to second falls, decided to give it a go... Well worth the effort .

Edith Falls is only a short 40km or so from Katherine. The huge bottom pool is fantastic for swimming and there is a big grass area ideal for picnic lunch and all right next to the carpark. A small kiosk is there. Haven't bought any food there as we bring a picnic each time, but we have hired pool noodle... More

We loved Edith Falls. The large pool close to the car.park is fantastic for swimming, with lovely shady, grassy areas to sit and relax. The hike from the car park up to the top pool and waterfall is not for the faint-hearted. There are a lot of "bush" stairs to negotiate, it's hot and tiring, but so worth it!! After... More

The Kiosk has returned. Following the floods of a couple of years ago the facilities in the past couple of years has been adhoc to say the least. This year a new kiosk has opened (currently in a shipping container). The people running it are really nice and they do the most awesome burgers you will ever taste. You have... More

It is definitely worth the trip off the Stuart Hwy to Edith Falls. There is a small cafe and a lovely grassed and shady area to relax on after a swim in the large swimming hole.

It was a very hot walk to the Edith Falls, no shades and the first part is quite steep. The water and the swimming was great (upper pool). The path could be even out and better maintained.

One of my favorite points when we visited NT. It's a definite must go - especially to the main pool area.. love love love it. The hike along the way is fairly easy.. there are other trails near the pool where you get to see waterfalls from a distance. it's not a very long hike and pretty worth it especially... More

A short 45 minute walk up to the pools with options for a longer return walk. At the base of the falls is a vast pool ideal for swimming

Well worth the visit. A safe swimming hole with easy access. We spent a couple of hours there on an extremely hot day.
