short walk to have a nice swim

2km walk to the Edith Falls. There where a few viewing points to allow you to take nice pictures from the surroundings. We had a great refreshing swim!

This is now part of the Nitmiluk National Park. It is north of Katherine on the road to Darwin. There is a well marked paved road on the right which in ten min will end up at the park. The is a concession and a camping side, near to the main pool. In early December we were the only people... More

A day trip from Darwin took me to Edith Falls (en route to Katherine Gorge). Edith Falls are very beautiful.

Just a 45 minute drive from Katherine...Edith Falls is well worth the visit. Swimming....camping...great steak sandwiches and cold drinks. Waterfall still running and not even wet season yet. Make sure you stop here for a day or stay overnight.

Thoroughly enjoyable swimming hole, very warm. Natural beauty at the NT's best. Plenty of room to swim and relax in the nice grounds. Definitely a must see attraction, free to get into and worth the 20min detour off the Stuart Highway.

Yet another must see around Katherine. A nice drive in, you can swim and do some walks right up to the top. Well worth your time!

What a magical place, we got here in the early morning, I had a swim to the falls, the water was very nice and sort of warm. The area is very well kept, absolutely worth a stop, if you have time ideal for a picnic. There is a walk as well we did not do it as it would have... More

Lovely setting with the hills and the start of some gorges. Great Falls and a lovely large pool area to swim and relax. And a couple of moderately tough walks but they provided great views and some well needed exercise, There's a kiosk there which serves some home-made food plus drinks and ice creams. Certainly a place to be visited... More
