We visited Top Didj to see the art and craft gallery last Saturday afternoon which is on the Katherine Gorge Road just a few kilometres from the Knotts Crossing Resort Hotel. This is open until 5.00pm on a Saturday unlike most businesses in Katherine which seem to close by 3.00pm at the very latest. The owner is such a friendly... More

Be awed by Manuel, and hear his story...come away with an amazing painting (done by yourself...Manuel gives you a lesson! or better still buy one of Manuel's'.) Learn to light a fire with sticks..fun, and throw a spear- thank goodness I wasn't looking to hunt for my dinner!

Had a fantastic morning at Top Didj with my 7 year old daughter. Manual told us about his life and his people then taught us to do aboriginal painting, use fire sticks and throw a spear. We also got to cuddle sone baby wallabies. Fabulous people, fabulous place.

We stopped by at the place on our way to the Nitmiluk National Park. We only strolled around the shop and didn't go for a tour. Besides the usual tourist souvenirs, there were some beautiful Aborigine art and didgeridoos. The staff were friendly, and keen on answering any questions that we had.

Great Aboriginal art at fabulous prices. Well worth a visit. Some marvellous souvenirs as well. We didn't book for the Cultural Experience - but we were sorry to have missed it.

Manuel is the aboriginal star of this experience, well backed up by his partners in the Cultural hit of the Northern Territory. What with Manuel explaining the cultural aspects of his family life of long ago and today, playing and explaining the digj and clap sticks, explaining his role as a painter and his leadership in seeing his audience accomplish... My Family and I all enjoyed our morning, painting, fire lighting, spear throwing, meeting the wallabies and listening to Manuel.

Bought a beautiful painting here and a good value didgeridoo. Some of the dishes don't play very well, so try to at before you buy, but there are some gems - and all are painted quite nicely. Very friendly staff and good service. Highly recommended!

There are very few places near Nitmiluk where we stayed but were recommended to come here by a family we met on our travels in the Northern Territory. So glad we did as it's not one that is obvious or highly advertised. You get to meet an Aboriginal elder who tells you his story and shows you how to do... More
