This tour is a must if you are wanting to discover the hidden gems of the NT! The tour to the beautiful Arnhem Land allows you to see such a variety of landscapes that the NT entails, from bush and scrub to wide open spaces. It was fabulous to see the Indigenous Australians portraying their culture through paintings on paper... More

Whilst getting up at 4am seems unappealing to make the long trip to Arnhem Land it is indeed worth it! Hearing Aaron talk about the history of Arnhem Land, watching some Aboriginals paint, listening to the stories from an Aboriginal guide and experiencing Injalak Hill make this a great option for anyone visiting Darwin. The service given was fantastic with... More

Our bus was on time to pick us up at Jabiru, our driver and guide was very personable and gave an informative commentary along the way. Our stop at Injalak Craft and Art Centre was interesting and the talented Aboriginal Artists and staff were very friendly. The walk and climb up Injalak Hill with our Aboriginal guide Terence was well... More

Only for the distance to be travelled to get to Arnhem Land, the tour was great. Having to leave Darwin at such an early hour in the morning was a little problem but the day was great. Arron, our coach driver, was great in explaining sites as we travelled the long distance. At Oenpelli, at the Injulac Art Centre we... More

Our white Australian guide, Aron, prepared us with intelligence and compassion for the places and people he led us to spend time with. He passed us on to: Firstly - a Aboriginal guide to give us a rare insight to an authentic arts centre (Injaluk), in a remote community; Secondly - an Aboriginal guide (and artist) for a very special... Well worth site, with interesting rock art on a sacred hill. Roland, our guide, was a sweet young man who tried his best to explain to us the wonder that had been painted by his ancestors. The view from the top of the rock is stunning. To get to the paintings is no easy walk as we had to climb... More

We travelled late July with Petra, who was very good - knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. While the tour wasn't quite what we were expecting, we found it fascinating and rewarding. We had met Joe, one of the indigenous artists, a few days earlier, and enjoyed talking with him as he completed a painting at the art centre. The walking/climbing component... More

Our guide Petra was great, and we also enjoyed the walk with our local guide Roland. We had previously been to many of the free ranger talks in Kakadu, and so most of the information was not new to us. We would have liked to visit a less touristy area of Arnhem Land with more emphasis on wildlife, and the... More

I dont think you will find many less touristy areas than where we visit in Arnhemland - access is highly restricted as only two or three companies have access, unlike Kakadu where it is hard to count the number of tourist vehicles ! And Im curious - did you rated us poorly because other customers were taking phone calls ?... More

We did this tour on 30 July. Our tour guide Petra was very good. When we arrived at the Injalak Arts and Craft Centre we saw limited indigenous artists at work. We enjoyed what we saw but would have liked to have more time there interacting with the artists and asking questions. We then joined up with our indigenous guide... More

Hi Wanni, Thanks for your feedback. The Aboriginal people in Western Arnhem Land are naturally very shy. Its a challenge for us as if we employed more outgoing individuals (not locals) we would keep some folks happier as they would be chattier - however, we do try to employ local people for a variety of cultural reasons - so therefore... We continue to be pleased that, on this our second trip to the Top End, we included a Lord’s Tour into Arnhemland. Not only did it take us into a beautiful, remote place, but it was highly informative and educational. Our driver/guide, Aaron, shared his passion for and knowledge of the area, its people, culture and history. We stopped first... More
