La Rocca is a beautiful, medieval castle in the Tuscan country side. It's not very touristic, which I find appealing. The best part about the visit, was that it's a guided tour. Our guide was amazing! Her English wasn't great, but she explained everything nicely and made a lot of gestures to support her story. Within the fort, there was... More

Staggia is a very small town on the Cassia road north of Siena. Many people goes visiting Monteriggioni and forget stopping here, where a visit to the castle (well restored) and the old walls is very worthy. Went there last summer more or less on accident and it was really nice, although it's very close to Poggibonsi, there are virtually no tourists in town which makes it a very nice contrast to most places in Tuscany. The castle is mainly from the 14th century and nicely restored - we had a very nice tour for 5 €... More
