We welcome visitors to our cellar door, located at the winery in the heart of the Gimblett Gravels wine region. Originally a working part of the winery, the cellar door is an impressive space with 5 metre-high ceilings and a great view of our white barrel hall through a huge sliding glass door. Here you can purchase from our full range of award winning wines and a wide selection is open for tasting. You can even pick up a bottle or two of something special – wines only retailed through the cellar door – or take home a souvenir of your visit from our quality branded merchandise. Our lovely gardens and expansive lawn make the perfect spot to enjoy a picnic – you can make up your own platter from our selection of delicious produce. In the summer we often have live music and hot food available at weekends, just check the events section of our website. The cellar door team are a knowledgeable and friendly bunch who will guide you through our wines and answer your questions. They might even have a bottle of something “not on the list” for you to try, especially at weekends. In the summer(October – Easter), we are open 7 days a week for sales and tasting (except Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day and Good Friday 10.00am – 5.00pmWinter (After Easter – September) we're open Wednesday through Saturday 11.00am – 4.00pm We do ask that larger groups, mini-bus groups and tours book in with us in advance. Tasting charges apply.

The Gimlet Gravels region is supposed to grow interesting wines. Trinity Hill offers a wide variety of choices, from Thor plain white label, to their pricier black label. The tasting conducted by Sophia was interesting and fun. We liked the white Viognier Marsanne best. The red wines seem overpriced for the quality.

A great in between stop before other vineyards. This one is no exception with the top wines. Beautiful set-up, knowledgeable wine serves and great tasting options. We went there and bought two Trinity Hill Homage which is there flag ship wine for cellaring. I will probably join there wine club just for there amazing line in Homage.

We had a wonderful evening at Trinity Hill Winery, Hillbillie evening. This was a FAWC event. Ten of us enjoyed a great BBQ by Raymond, and fun entertainment with a live band, sitting around a huge bonfire. Trinity Hill staff were amazing. Friendly, efficient and ensured everyone had a good time. Well done and thank you.

The Trinity wines are more than acceptable - we enjoyed a tasting and then purchased a couple of bottles and adjourned to one of the outside picnic tables (with the picnic we brought with us). A glass or two of a very nice red, with food of our choice, in the sun, with good company - where's the problem?? Definitely... More

Hi Grant, Thank you for your kind review. We love hosting our locals out at Trinity Hill, and although it can get busy we like to make sure all of our visitors feel welcome. You will notice some vintage variation with our Montepulciano (or wines in general). Please come back and try the 2015 when it is released next winter.... More

We enjoyed our first visit to Trinity Hill so much that a second trip was called for; and the cellar door did not disappoint. The winery is beautifully situated among the vineyards and the cellar door itself is spacious and welcoming (as was the attendant). We enjoyed the wines, and bought a few bottles. A definite for wine lovers.

This winery is located in an area of Hawke's Bay that has been given the Gimblett Gravels appellation designation. This was explained to us at great length by our host and we came away with a wealth of information on the various wines that they produce. We tasted four wines and one fortified wine. The tasting area is well laid... More

We've visited a few vineyards whilst in Hawke's Bay and many aren't too interested in their visitors but the guy who conducted our wine today was most hospitable and we'll certainly be seeking out their unique Touriga port like red wine back in the UK

We booked a tour of Hawkes Bay wineries with Grape Escapes and this vineyard was the highlight of the trip. The sommelier at the previous vineyard had given us a very rushed tasting session so it was great to meet the curteous and knowledgeable Dominic, and have a relaxed session with time to properly taste the wine. He is undertaking... More

I really enjoyed my time at Trinity Hill winery. The staff member working was wonderful. The wines they had open were good but I was disappointed with the range available to try. I'm not a red drinker normally and I ended up walking away with bottle of there Port styled red wine, absolutely beautiful.

Hi Biely08. First of all, sorry for the very delayed reply! Thank you for taking the time to visit Trinity Hill in August last year. I'm sorry that you found our range of tasting wines to be too small. We usually offer between 6-8 wines on any given day with most of the wines from our Premium Gimblett Gravels range... More
