We loved splash planet but found that a lot of the other patrons were downright rude. So many people swim in their clothes ... Why is that? Also, there was a big group of seriously overweight Maori people who basically took over the whole pool. They were playing rugby and didn't care about anyone else. The lifeguard just watched on... Unfortunately we have been spoiled by Jamberoo and Wet and Wild in Australia but this is a great way to spend a sunny day in Hastings. The area is well laid out with a good age range of water and land activities. Of course you have to queue so once you have managed to get hold of one of the... More

We had a great time! the boys had so much fun. Not the cheapest and I wish there was a family pass (but then again it was busy as it is, so if it was cheaper it would be manic). Some life guards were a bit rude I think, simply just the way they warned people. Would definitely go back... More

Not as good as wet n wild on the gold coast but in NZ this is a great place to spend a hot summers day. Beware school holidays and weekends especially very hit days and this place becomes pacjed but there is still plenty of space and fun to be had.

What an awesome place! A real kids paradise. I took my two boys and friends daughter along for the day. Arrived half an hour before opening time to queue. Got a picnic table on the waters edge and set up for the day. The kids had a blast on all the water slides and thoroughly enjoyed the train, jungle jeeps,... More

Fantastic way to spend the day, so much to do and kids loved it. Took our own picnic and set up under shade sails for shelter from the hot Hawkes bay sun. Found there weren't enough tubes for the water slide and those who had one held onto them for their next slide, making it difficult to get one. There... More

We spent all day there and had a great time. Our girls (8 & 11) spent most of their time in the water and on slides but also enjoyed the mini golf, kayaks & bumper boats. There was a long queue at 10am but t clearly quickly. Food bought on premises was fine.

Our last official day in the North Island and Splash Planet did not disappoint! What a fantastic place and so reasonably priced (I'd say cheap for what you get). I wish we had more places like Splash Planet around NZ and I would definitely take my boys back there. We all had a blast my favourite attraction definitely had to... More
