Textiles, pottery glasswork available for sale. Being reflective of much of this city, the museum is the benefactor of past philanthropy, alongside honouring indigenous populations from this area.

We were looking for art galleries to visit but unfortunately most were shut on Sunday. Lucky for us the Suter wasn't and we enjoyed looking at the permanent collection and the works for sale.

Just a great spot for a casual tea or coffee and or an attractive meal in a special cultural environment. Great staff...friendly atmosphere...and the bonus...you can pause and dwell on some of the high quality art and creative works that are on display

Love this place. It's a hot favourite with the locals and know-alls but don't let that put you off. Foods is delicious and the Team know how to run a good cafe. It's a Nelson must sweetie

We had lunch at Suters. Great Thai pumpkin soup, and very good meat pies. The ambiance is special: you can walk around a picturesque pond (that you are sitting next to, during lunch) to see many species of ducks and birds. A great place for lunch and a nature walk!

There are, however, very nice locally hand crafted items at very reasonable prices. The Cafe is excellent, great food, reasonable prices and wonderful views of the beautiful Queens Gardens next door. The gardens... More
