Bruce runs a tight ship with on-time sailing and pick-up. The lighthouse is delightful. We were dropped off at the lighthouse and enjoyed a walk to the baches from where we were picked up and taken back to the wharf. Take a bag to pick up rubbish along the Boulder Bank, a pic-nic, togs if you feel like swimming off... More

We enjoyed a lovely afternoon paddling to the old lighthouse and to the islands. Good quality sit on top kayaks that were very easy to paddle. Climbing the lighthouse was an interesting diversion. I would highly recommend renting kayaks from here.

Enjoyed seeing Nelson from a different view. The owner is helpful, knowledgable and friendly. Interesting to see the boulder bank up close and you can visit the lighthouse for great views. Bird life plentiful and a couple of seals.

In the last few months our family has hired the ferry for a trip to the Boulder Bank and Lighthouse; and also rented kayaks a couple of times from Bruce. He is a very nice, helpful guy who gives good advice and looks after you very well.

We used the Ferry for our wedding at the Boulder Bank lighthouse. We had a rehearsal trip on the Friday, a set up trip on Saturday morning and then 4 trips Saturday afternoon to get the 100 guests to the lighthouse and 4 to get them all back. Bruce was very accommodating, super friendly and professional. The Ferry was perfect... More

We hired a twin, ride-on kayak to enjoy a sunny afternoon in Nelson. The kayak was good quality, hiring was really easy and good value ($60 for 2 hours). The chap we hired from was really friendly and gave us good advice about where to go/what to do. It was a relaxed trip and we enjoyed afternoon tea on the... More

We booked the Ferry to help with a wedding at the Lighthouse. Bruce was fantastic to work with! Even though the weather was creating some challenges, he was clearly focussed on safety first. It's a great way to get to Haulashore Island and the Lighthouse.

Good service for a very short trip...thats all one needs! When you get there, nice place to have a picnic and a swim. But you could just do that on the mainland" beach too!
