Hervey Bay have really kept there beachfront/esplanade looking neat and tidy, whilst having a variety of restaurants and shops within walking distance from there well priced accommodation options which is a great bonus in a small town.. The exercise equipment is a cool idea along the walking paths also! We love our road trips from Bundaberg to Hervey Bay and... More

There is not much to do here expect sun and bath. But swimming is good, even at low tide: no big waves. The beach is good for swimming and for kids - no surfing.

Thoroughly enjoyed the Esplanade - liked the variety of restaurants and shops. Especially liked Madigans Fish and Chips - the best we've ever tasted. Also a very neat and tidy place (so different to Alice). Congratulations to HB Council for keeping HB attractive and also for the exercise equipment along the esplanade.

So clean & easy to access you can walk/ride for miles or sit & enjoy the view. Lots of cafes & restaurants on the opposite side of the road. Safe to swim here as very flat & easy to access

This is a great walk, flat and picturesque as we normally have to climb hills. If it's windy we walk along the beach then back to accommodation on the more sheltered esplanade path. We.ve managed Urangan to Scarness and back, the beer was good that night at the club.

The esplanade can be walked, the whole length from Point Vernon to Urangan. Along the way is exercise equipment, bike path, and now that the trees have been cleaned on the beachfront, great views of the Bay the whole way.

I walked from the Motel down to the corner where the Shark Museum was and looked at the sea, the bar b que areas and all the nice units on the beach front. All the units had no vacancy signs which made me happy that I had booked my room before I arrived.

The beach walk is amazing - calm waters equate to a soul energising walk - 8km and more along the beach and then return on the well maintained bike/walking path. Felt safe in early mornings and on dusk.
