Nice easy walk with kids. The seals were a lot of fun to see--especially the pups. And there's a nice rocky beach across the street.

Great stop! The kids enjoyed watching the seal pups play in the waterfall. We went mid Aug and only saw 2 seals in the stream but several on the trail.

If you're in the area around the time the seal pups are there then make sure you stop here. unless you hate animals or have a heart of stone. It's adorable. So many seal pups! Playing in a waterfall pool. I took about 300 photos of seal pups and the memory card in my camera broke from a cuteness overload.

Always stop off here when showing family and friends the delights of New Zealand as this is one of them. Getting close to the seal pups is a truly magical experience.

Well worth stopping for a peak at Mother Nature in all her splendor, with Seal pups frolicking in the Ohau Stream and Waterfall, which is just a few minutes walk up a well worn track through NZ Native bush. Just be careful when exiting back onto State Highway 1 to make sure you get back on the road safely, as... More

Almost unbelievably one parks and views seals. A few minutes' walk up a well-made track leads to picturesque waterfalls and seal pups desporting themselves. Quiet respect is the only entrance fee demanded at this display of nature. Well established natural vegetation and a spectacular waterfall at the top end complete the picture. Our delight was added to by the sight... More

Just a few minutes walk from the main road is a small colony of seals and a waterfall. It was rather magical to watch the seal pups playing in the pool at the bottom of the waterfall and a surprise to find seals right next to the path. Well worth the few minutes walk (and the view from the car... More

A beautiful little walk and it's a real treat if you're lucky to see seal pups. At the end of the walk is a lovely waterfall to top it off.

What a great experience. A short walk on the path and be rewarded with the pups. Seeing them doing their own thing just the way nature intended is fabulous! Definitely a must visit if you are passing the area. We walked up there with 3 kids, 9,7,2 (in a backpack)
