This is such a memorable experience to fish with Mark and Greg. They are really professional and takes a lot of time to explain the NZ fishing laws, how to bait up the crayfish pots, the birds. They helped with everything - baiting the hooks, cleaning and filleting fish. We enjoyed fresh fish for the next 2 days. And Mark... More

Such an amazing present for my birthday! We were 4 in the boat (just my family). In the others tours they were more than 8 so it was very VIP ! And for cheaper! Tonight we will eat a big crayfish each and all the fishs that we caught. It was awesome, they are lovely, helpful! We will remember this... More

Went fishing with my family of four in the morning around 9.30, my drive from Christchurch took about 2.5 hrs. The trip is 3 hours and Mark, Peter and Greg were our guide. They are friendly and professional. My kids and wife have fun fishing. Unfortunately, my sea sickness kicks in almost when we anchored and started fishing. Was vomiting... More

How many times will a fishing guide take you fishing and also check his lobster traps? This was my first! The guide cooked several lobsters for us and gave us 4 - 6 to take home. In NZ a lobster costs about around $98 at a restaurant so the free lobsters provided were a bonus. Also, the cost of the... More

We met with the owner Mark bang on time and he kitted us out with Life jackets and gave a good safety briefing. The fishing was excellent and his commentary very informative. There was 6 of us and Mark the skipper. Once fishing we kept him pretty busy filleting and baiting. We have just had a feed of the fish... More

I booked a 3 hour trip for myself, my husband and our 2 boys, aged 10 and 12. When we arrived at the boat Mark took the time to introduce himself to us all individually, and immediately came across as a really good guy who was keen to make our fishing adventure one we would remember. We were lucky enough... More

Whatever reason takes you to Kaikoura there are a multitude of things to excite you. One of the most stunning times to visit is in the winter on a sunny day. You can then absorb the beauty of this amazing lanodscape. Either sitting on the edge of the bay or viewing from a fishing boat you will be amazed at... More

We took a 2 hour trip with Mark and even though there was only 2 of us he still let us go out, so we had the boat all to ourselves! We had a great couple of hours not only was the fishing excellent but we got to see Dolphins, seals and Albatross and the views were just amazing! Mark... More

Excellent experiences with fish kaikoura, the staff are so kind, they will help us to catch the fish even if we have to have a rest to our arm(Believe me, the fish is much easier than you fish in lake, all the time just set the bait and pull the fish wire, it's definitely the physical exercise), and they are... What a great charter. Everytime we dropped a line we seemed to have a fish within a minute! The hardest bit was having to reel in the line as we got so many fish lol. We got lots of sea pearch and a blue cod. Plus some crayfish to share from the pots. The fish was all filleted on the... More
