We stayed at the Cushchine Farmer's Cottage with girls aged 5 and 9. They absolutely loved all the animals. It was quiet and peaceful, friendly and welcoming - and with the wood burner, warm as winter approached! The views are stunning. We had pony rides, llama treks, and fed the animals in the morning. Don't go if you want luxury... More

We went there recently and like other similar bad reviews were met by a miserable woman who was only interested in taking our money. $45 for 4 adults and one child. I can't believe on the website and in the Kaikoura Information booklet it said it had a cafe. You've got to be joking a dog wouldn't even set foot... More

Whilst passing through kaikoura i spent an afternoon at the farm park and had a great time at the hand feeding loads of animals such as llamas, goats, donkeys and ponies. What's really special is that you get to have a hands-on experience with the animals and go into their pens to pet and feed them which is quite unique!... More

We were excited about the visit to the park and been telling the kids on the drive to Kaikoura about what we were doing they were also excited. On arrival things were poorly organized with wet muddy gum boots supplied and this was not till I put my foot in them and discovered it... As we walked in the gate... More

This is our 2nd time here. The animals are so happy and well cared for with plenty of space to be free and natural. the staff were lovely and spent time with us telling us little stories about the animals. There were 3 sets of week old piglets, adorable. And you can stay here ( we will next time )... More

We stayed there for 2 nights and loved it. Our 4 years old son loved to find and play with all the toys in the cottage. all the kids loved feeding the animals. The beds are very comfortable. We woke up every morning to birds singing around us. We enjoyed our stay there.

The place is run down. There is no warm greetings from the owners and we were not being walked through thoroughly or had any guidance from anyone. The farm owners basically just release the animals and do not really explain anything. Although there were laminated information around introducing the different animals, we would actually prefer some interactions from someone. However,... More

I love how close you can come to contact with the animals (alpacas, lamas, pigs, donkies, sheeps, etc)! I think kids will definitely enjoy this experience. We had so much fun when we brought food into the farm yard - All the animals were tail gating us! The cottage is cozy and simple. The beds are very comfortable! Do remember... More

The entrance fee is $10 and you can purchase cups of food pellets for $2 each. Wellies are provided for free should you not want to dirty your shoes. The staff were friendly and explained to us how best to feed the different animals, but they mainly kept to their duties (cleaning cages, preparing food etc). The animals were free... More
