Another great outlet for you to purchase jade and other souvenir items for yourself and gifts for your friends back home. You can spend the morning shopping before travelling to your next destination.

A great little place where you can meet the makers of local items like flax weavers, painters, carvers, wood workers and spend time getting to know their work. Definitely worth a stop if you are in Hokitika.

We visited this small town and were not that impressed small and not that quaint. This was one place we loved. The man was very friendly not pushy just nice and informative

After 5 days in the city, I have learned where the tour buses stop; they do not stop here? After watching the tourists run off their buses (hello? they run off their buses to the closest store that their bus is parked at; get the picture now) because they have less than 30 minutes to eat (some only 15 minutes),... I love this shop. I have visited it many times on my trips to the Coast and love the variety of work created by the co-op members.

Lots of nice pieces in here, hard to choose what to get. In the end just plumped for something we could carry for the rest of our trip.

What a great shop - so many things I'd have loved to have taken home! High quality items and whilst some were pricey, the workmanship is clear and makes items worth the price.

This shop was a great find! The artist who was manning the shop was very friendly. We ended up doing most of our NZ gift shopping here: rimu coasters and trivets and several pairs of greenstone earrings. When my wife later lost one of the earrings, the artist graciously arranged to send a replacement.
