We visited at sunrise and had the place to ourselves. It was so gorgeous. I can't believe the blue of the water, and the orange of the sun rising. It was so peaceful. A really lovely way to start the day.

The sandflies were CRAZY bad but it was worth it. As we walked along the track down to the river we kept getting better glimpses of this absolutely amazing river. so blue but so clean! the swing bridge was fun and very wobbly but just amazing to stand on it suspended in space above the surreal aqua water beneath.

This small hidden place was such a nice surprise. I loved the intensive turquoise color. It is a small and lovely walk until you reach the bridge. I really enjoyed this place. A short but sweet visit

We went to visit hokitika gorge and so glad we did! You think the pictures with the aqua blue water is photoshopped- Its not! It is the most aqua blue stunning water. Small walk from the carpark, so people of all ages can make the trip to view- one bridge to cross and just beautiful NZ nature. Amazing

My friends and I drove from Auckland to Queenstown in a campervan. We stopped whenever we could - and this was one of our lunch stop overs. Oh my gosh! So beautiful. The lush trees and then the cable bridge, and then you can walk around onto the rocks. My boyfriend even jumped in (despite being the middle of winter)... More

A must-see when in the area. It's a bit of a drive, but we were so happy to have seen it. A unique and stunning gorge of milky blue waters, suspension walking bridges, and beauty. Go see this!!

A must if you visit Holitika. Although it was drizzling with rain when we visited, it is well worth seeing. The water in the gorge was slightly murky becuase of the recent rain, but walking through the trees was like walking in an enh=chanted forest.
