We are both in our mid 70's and probably just thought we would float into a cave, see the glow worms, and float out again. BUT it was fantastic. We found it exhausting, fun and exciting, also so challenging, loved it all, even it I had to have a wee rest and let the others go ahead for a moment.... More

We went in mid October and it was just the two of us and our guide who was 10/10! Terrified of the cold at first, our fears were squashed when given two layers of thermals, full body wetsuits and booties and gumboots! Floating down the river is great fun and the glow worms are incredible!

We are glad that you had such and awesome time, and yes that is a very common concern from our guest about people getting cold on the trip, but we do try our best to keep you warm with all the gear we give you thermals and wet suits ect that we must be doing it right. Thank you for... More

i found it very dangerous, as the water was a little above the ankle on 40% of the stream and it was dangerous and it was most likely for money reasons, that we were still brought to do the activity. if - the water was at knee levels, it would have been fabulous. had hit a lot off rocks and... Went on a cloudy and fairly cold morning. But we were nice and warm in wetsuits and thermals etc provided. We chose to do the zipline in which was great fun albeit quite short. The tubing was relaxing for the most part and a great way to see the beautiful rainforest around Greymouth. There was plenty of opportunity for the... More

Jono was entertaining but very conscientious about doing his job well and keeping us all safe. We had an absolute blast though disappointed that the cave was too flooded for us to continue in. The spa and wine at the end of the activity was a very welcome surprise. We would certainly recommend and do this again.

The staff were helpful, friendly and encouraging, but didn't push you to do anything you were uncomfortable with. Overall we found it a quite strenuous but enjoyable day. Luckily the weather was good. First we did the zip lining (Flying Fox). My wife thought the height at the start was quite scary, but we both found it really exciting. Then... More

I've been hesitating to write this review because I hate when you try to write an honest review & then the company/ owner responds and tries to make you look stupid by finding some form of inconsistency in your review in or terminology in order to make it sound like your review is less than accurate. But ultimately, I've left... More

Perfect trip! Great way to see forest and glow worms. Friendly fun helpful staff. Water is cold but well worth it. Different from other blackwater caving. Less climbing in the caves more time on the river but still very pretty.

This was the first stop on our South Island Honeymoon. we had a great time, wrapped up nice and warm in the cold September morning with the thermal wear provided. Great to see lots of Wakas roaming round on the walk to the flying fox. Lots of fun tubing down the river, hot choc in the glow worm caves/ Beer... More

Didn't know what to expect but turned out to be great fun. We were well kitted out with warm clothes and wet suits and spent the morning being carried down the river on tubes. Saw the glow-worms and enjoyed hot chocolate in complete darkness. The beer and muffin in the hot spa afterward was great.
