Ruakaka Beach is a beautiful clean beach. No matter what time of the year you go to the beach it is big enough for there to be plenty of people around but you never feel crowded in. The locals take great care of the beach so you won't come across much rubbish. Even though the local council in their wisdom... More

White sandy beach for miles. This is a beach that gets waves straight from the Pacific Ocean so in storms its very spectacular but safe swimming at the surf club is the way to go if you are new to ocean beaches. If you are lucky you can dig for shellfish and even thro a line in to catch a... More

This is an amazing beach good waves for boarding while I was here but also shallow water so good for people with families with young ones. Well worth a day out here walking along golden sands taking in the amazing views.

From the sweeping sandy beach to crabbing and fishing, Ruakaka Beach is a good place for the family. Have been here a number of times in the past year and the family has had a good time every time.

Great beach for a day out with the family. Shallow grade giving plenty of access to the water, can be rough in winter. Ideal for torpedo long-line fishing. Very popular at weekends and summer holidays.

This has got to be one of the best beaches ever! So close, unspoiled, no high rises, just the sound of surf and fresh sea air. Spent my youth at this beach and still love that it has not become another surfers paradise!

Drats! So close to Auckland yet so not. Hope the invasion can be averted. What a beautiful place to forget about everything for abit, whats with that gorgeous riverside that you barely know is there? It was the quiet season on my visit so I left the place rested and better for having been there.

Long White sandy beach with rolling surf, great for the boogie boarders. Life guards on duty in summer. You don't have to be sitting on top of one another like some beaches closer to Auckland.

Ruakaka beach, lovely beach with Waves that amaze you. On the coast following the incredible crystal clear waters of Marsden Point. I am very fond of this beach as for Whanagarei being my childhood memories. The sand here is particularly pure also, unique location to be. ruakaka camping ground: http://www.motorcamp.co.nz/ more: •Marsden Point Oil Refinery •Port Marsden •Ruakaka Racecourse •Marsden...
