The coffees are good and the meals a good size and well presented. The breakfasts are yum and the hamburgers even better. Service can be a little slow when busy but being near the beach I don't mind waiting

The waterfall excursion on a gravel road for 15 minutes was magical, a little careful bouldering was required to approach the pool at the bottom of the falls and worth the risk. Met a very successful businessman there whom noteworthily decided upon Ruakaka for his residence after having lived in Auckland suburbs for decades. We made a stop there and... More

We had a lovely light lunch here while enjoying the scenery. Also shopped at small supermarket. The public toilets were nice and clean.

Alway love coming out here. As a kid I would stay out here for the school holiday. It's a lot bigger out there now. Not to far from Whangarei. If your just going for a day trip there is lots to see and do
