I have watched this lovely garden develop over the years and every year been delighted. It is a hgely under-rated attraction in Whangarei and is free to all, but for a donation should one have some change to spare. Well worth a regular look in.

Peaceful and quiet. Absolutely private yet only a few minutes from the CBD. A great range of species and beautifully presented.

A wonderful revitalisation of a quarry waste area. Lovely easy walks and superb gardens. Would be a lovely place to visit all year round with sheltered walks for warmer days and open sunny ones for cooler weather.

This garden has been carefully planned with not only things to look at but things to smell and taste. It is very educational whilst being very interesting. Older and younger members of families can easily walk around. Its a must see in Whangarei.

Its amazing how much work has gone into the development of this quarry. I remember it back as a teenager. It is well worth a visit and the gold coin donation . There is a great variety of plants . Good place to take kids for a picnic.
