Bring a picnic because there isn't anything around here other than a few holiday houses. A stunning location, great for a swim or hiking around the headlands. There's a big sand dune for kids and big kids. A must visit if you're in the area.

A gorgeous little gem, Ocean Beach is a pristine gentle surfing beach with white sand, separated by a large sand dune from the adjoining bay.

The beaches were clean and beautiful. We spent the day sitting in the sun and enjoying a picnic lunch. Not much swimming as the water was very cold.

Never neglect a stop off at a beach on the eastern ( Pacific ) side of Northland. Even during summer months you may find total seclusion and privacy, or perhaps another couple at most. The seabirds serenade you with unexpected song, the sounds and cadence of the surf are so calming yet invigorating at the same time. Each seems more... More

Great beach for surfers but also great for children as it has a shallow lagoon type pool so children can paddle

This beach was 5 min from our place of stay. What a beautiful view from the top of the short trek on the right. The waves were nice and we had a bit of a swim close in as it was chilly in January. I liked that there was a trail to hike as well as get in a swim... More

My husband surfed the huge waves at Ocean Beach and it is well known by the locals as OB's and it goes off in many different swells. There were lifeguards, but I didnt want my kids swimming there that day as it was so rough, but we got to surf the sand dunes on boogie boards which was heaps of... More
