we had time to kill on our way to Aukland , about 1 hour away,so decided to look in here.there is one huge thermally heated pool that you can either have a good swim in , or a 'wallow'! There is also an extremely hot thermal small pool, plus kids pool and large picnic area with plenty of tables. If... More

We stayed her one night, but had a great time. The cabins were well equipped and quite spacious for 2 adults and 3 small kids. The pools we delightful & the public kitchen & bbq area a great way to meet other residents. The staff were very friendly & knowledgeable.. I would definitely stay here again.

This facility is a bit dated but the pools are delightful. There are two pools; one very large moderately temped filled with families and kids of all ages jumping, playing and having a great time. Adults can retreat to a smaller, hot pool and get a relaxing quiet soak. We went on a rainy day and it was the perfect... More

I read some reviews about the staff being unfriendly and rude so was a little hesitant about going. The staff were friendly and the water was really relaxing, and was well worth the hours drive from auckland. We had fish, chips and burgers from the takeaways in Kaiaua, 4ks north of the springs which were really good. The place was... More

Suitable for all ages and includes sizeable picnic areas, shop and takeaway food. Huge heated swimming pool plus childrens pools and hot spa. Great campground next door with their own good sized private hot soak pool, all newly renovated. Great for autumn winter and spring, and suitable for summer too.

There's a large open air heated pool that's great for families and a hotter roofed spa that is reserved for adults. There are four private wooden pools too which are lovely. Unusually, pass-outs are offered and since they close at 21:00, you can have several visits on the same day which makes the cost reasonable. My wife and I really... More

Have just visited these hot pools and had a fabulous time. What a way to while away the Monday blues. Beautiful blue skies and a huge blue pool full of natural thermal water. Stepping down the steps that surround the pool into the mineral rich water is just heaven. And when you want to turn the heat up a bit,... More

It cost $14 each to get in. We enjoyed the warmth of the hot pools, and the very large one was a novelty. However, we were put off by just how run down the place was. The single available shower was luke warm at best, and the shower/toilet block was really old, grotty looking. Wouldnt recommend.

I would never go back again!! we stayed at the Camping Ground Next Door (Which had the BEST friendly and clean service ever) we went to the pools to check it out whilst getting our dinner. the place is very unfriendly, totally run down and we left with a bitter taste in our mouth because of the way the staff... Miranda hot pools is a place of great historic value and olden day charms, Life certainly takes a comfortable step backwards in time when one sees this natural beauty for the first time.
