Good wines and food (but pricey). Never had a warm experience from the cellar door tastings and they charge these days.
Bad service, expensive but food was good. Paid A$160 for lunch for 2 and end up having mixed feeling cos food was good, price expensive and service lousy.
Very disappointing food, Mix of flavours don't work, Old fashioned, Need to update the place and menu, There are much better places (anywhere).
Only attended a wine tasting and the staff member was uninterested, didn't listen to requests, poured a different style wine on top of unfinished wine to attend to other guests. We walked out opting out of eating at the restaurant so no idea what the food was like. So many other gorgeous wineries in the area don't bother with Leeuwin.
Overall we really enjoyed our lunch at Leeuwin Estate! We had a lovely table outside on the deck, and the ambience was very relaxing and informal, yet with an air of decadence! For Entres we ordered the Silken Tofu and the Panko Crusted Oysters, and to be honest they were both mediocre. The Tofu had nice flavour combinations, however one... More
Leeuwin Estate enjoys impressive grounds with a friendly cellar door - don't know why the Hunter Valley can't do this? The landscaped grounds are impressive just to visit but the attraction of a range of quality wines makes the visit so much more attractive. My wife and I have always been fans of the Leeuwin Estate's Siblings label but the... More

Normally, this suggests to me that the quality of the winery itself might not be top-notch - but I'm glad to say that this is not the case with Leeuwin Estate. Their range of wines is diverse, and well... More
We went with a group of friends to the wine and food festival at Leeuwin estate, Margaret River, what a wonderful day, chef's from overseas and Australia. Wineries and food producers from all over region had stalls, just fantastic, great credit to the Horgans, such a wonderful location, winery and restaurant. They are leaders in attracting people to this brilliant... More
Too busy to give personal attention. The restaurant was incredibly expensive and therefore for a special occasion only. Lacked car parking and had to drive around for ages to get a slot. Wine was equally expensive and not outstanding by European standards. A disappointing experience. There are much better vineyards nearby.
We chanced upon this restaurant and were really pleased that we did - we didn't have a booking and it was a Saturday lunch time, they were busy but we didn't have to wait long. The food was beautifully prepared and presented, fabulous flavours definitely no complaints and the wine was also great. It's a lovely dining room, the tables... More
