Nice place for cheese lovers

We knew the cheese factory was there but hadn't bothered to visit before, now we recommend you go out there, it's great. They have a great museum with all sorts in, fabulous cheese tasting, great shop and a really nice cafe. We had a wonderfull day.

I'm not a mad cheese lover but my wife is and she was very happy with the range of the cheese that was available for sale. She bought a bag full. There is a large eatery and bottle shop/gift shop in the same building. Outside in another building is the museum which is very well set out and informative. Came... More

My wife had read reviews and this became one of the must do stops enroute. However, this was so disappointing!!!!just another cheese outlet if I may say so. The staff also were very to the point. We did not stop for food so can't comment on that but honestly I would not suggest a stop there.

We purchased some lovely cheese and other local produce from here. We thought they may have had a bit more variety than what they did. Nice cafe, service was a bit all over the place, and as such we didn't hang around for a milkshake. The service in the gift shop was fantastic! We'll be back for that milkshake!

Don't know why people leave bad reviews...i'm from Switzerland and cheese tastings are done the way it is done here. The lady was really friendly and informative and the cheeses delicious! Especially the Vintage! But I must say what these guys are really incredibly good at: making milkshakes! Omg! Do yourself a favour and try the thickshakes - we had... More

We were expecting "The Big Cheese" but were pleasantly surprised. The shop sells some local tasty cheese varieties at very respasonable prices, as well as regional wines and food. Milkshakes are made with local milk. The museum is free and displays a collection of dairy-related items.

Cheese World is about 1/4 Cheese, 1/2 random stuff to buy, and 1/4 snack bar. They tout their milkshakes as the best, but we didn't try them. Cheese tasting was a few different cheddar cubes distributed by an indifferent employee. The museum doesn't tell a story of the history of the cheese factory, just has random old stuff laid out.... Cheese World. How I salivated at the thought of being able to taste and purchase cheeses from across the world. The name is certainly deceiving. Went to this place on Friday 10th April 2015. First. I was struck by the amount of wine for sale - far in excess of any cheese. Second. I was not able to taste any... More
