This was the second year we went out with St. Kilda Fishing Charters, it was the last Sunday before Christmas a group of about 10 and it was another excellent experience. The Paul the skipper and Pete the deck hand made it relaxing and good fun fishing, with all quality gear provided , never and Pete doing the bait and... More

Captain was rude, we were told pretty much not to touch the rods at all until there was a bite on the line to which one of the guys working onboard starts reeling in and just says "who wants it?" so anyone can just grab the rod. 20+people on the boat and only around 15rods so there was alot of... Although it was our first trip with Paul, it didnt take long to get impressed by the excellent service and guidance... The staff were very friendly and helpful... We were about to fish three sharks but they were strong and big enough to escape after a long battle.. However, we ended up with three big snappers (over 10 kilos in... More

Although the trip was fun with friends. No one caught any thing of size. I didn't anything at all. Sensibly this can't be blamed on the staff, however it does beg the question why paid for a charter in the first place?? I think the alarm bells rang, (at the beginning of the trip) when talking to the captain and... More

Despite the initial rough water and bumpy boat ride, we got to our destination safely. Within 5 minuted the fish started biting. The skipper Paul is a real character and the deckhand Jill is great at her job and gave great advice and guidance to help reel in the fish. Was very professional and a full safety talk was given... When you have paid in excess of $600 for 7 tickets with St Kilda Fishing Charters you'd expect that you would be greeted with a smile on arrival from your skipper . Despite the occasional grunt and no guidance from skipper Paul, his deckhand Jill was very helpful and friendly. The weather was against us and we didn't get a... More

Once again I find myself complimenting an excellent experience with St Kilda Fishing Charters. As a boat owner and experienced avid reef angler from Cairns I cannot say enough about the service and quality of this trip. I first located this charter in 2009 and have had 8 more trips since then, I now take my 5 year old son... More
