It's a great way to while away a few hours on the river, beautiful warm day, calm water, historic paddle boat with an informative Captain at the helm. The boat had a small shop downstairs that sold hot and cold drinks and beers, plus sandwiches and cakes/sweeties. There are toilets down the stairs and an open area where you can... More

We took a 2 hour trip on the P.S Melbourne. What a great trip, friendly staff on board and a great running commentry from the captain. Also a bit of history being the last steam driven boat on the murray. really affordable price for a family of 4 also. We were able to book at the visitor centre too which was... More

Extremely hot day in Mildura ... 42 degrees but a lovely way to escape the hot sun with a two hour trip down the Murray. Through the lock which was interesting. The driver was very informative about items of interest along our journey.

relive the sights and sound of the pioneer days with a relaxing and informative cruise with expert river commentary. See the houseboats on the river, watch the gates of the weir being opened at Lock 11 to regulate the water flow. Learn about the Chaffey Bros the irrigation pioneers and see the original homestead and irrigation settlement.

While being on a road trip and passing through Mildura we realized that we could take a 2 hour boat trip on a paddelsteamer down the Murray River. We did and it is recommended to anyone who has some spare time to do so. Entrance to lock 11 was a bit difficult to find at first but since there were... More

We did the paddle steamer as part of a full day tour through Greyline! Not a memorable tour and we were very disappointed at how short the actual paddle steamer trip was. We had a nice lunch on board, but would have liked longer.

The paddle steamer was such a relaxing experience and the Rothby crew were so helpful and friendly. The commentary was a mix of interesting history and information about the river system... I can thorough recommend.

There are two major paddle vessels on the Murray at Mildura. For paddle steamer enthusiasts, who want the steam experience, then the shorter, Melbourne steam-powered vessel is the one for you. I was more interested in the Murray river itself, and the day-trip experience, so I chose the Rothbury trip to Trentham Winery. It was just lovely. The journey is... More
