While being on a road trip and passing through Mildura we realized that we could take a 2 hour boat trip on a paddelsteamer down the Murray River. We did and it is recommended to anyone who has some spare time to do so. Entrance to lock 11 was a bit difficult to find at first but since there were... More

We did the paddle steamer as part of a full day tour through Greyline! Not a memorable tour and we were very disappointed at how short the actual paddle steamer trip was. We had a nice lunch on board, but would have liked longer.

The paddle steamer was such a relaxing experience and the Rothby crew were so helpful and friendly. The commentary was a mix of interesting history and information about the river system... I can thorough recommend.

There are two major paddle vessels on the Murray at Mildura. For paddle steamer enthusiasts, who want the steam experience, then the shorter, Melbourne steam-powered vessel is the one for you. I was more interested in the Murray river itself, and the day-trip experience, so I chose the Rothbury trip to Trentham Winery. It was just lovely. The journey is... More

The trip does not take you very far on the river, mainly due to the time spent in the nearby lock both up and downstream. It was, however, very interesting and the skipper gave an informative commentary on the history of the river and the paddleboats. I would certainly recommend it to anyone interested in the history of the area.

Very relaxing paddle boat cruise (powered by diesel though not steam) on the Murray River up to the Trentham Boutique Winery .. enjoyable commentary about the history of the area and points of interest during the trip ... At the Wiery we enjoyed a delicious barbeque luncheon followed by dessert .. which however didn't include and drinks, coffee or tea... More

Although our trip on the riverboat was relaxing there are several things which could be improved. The cabins are very dated (we had an outside cabin) and fortunately the company will be addressing this in the next year or so with a renovation. In bad weather the boat was really cold and the door to the cabin was not draught... More

It was the coldest day of the year. The weather was freezing and the wind whistled down the river. Out of the wind it was cosy viewing behind glass and most passengers happily sat there. I had binoculars, camera and very warm clothes and it was brilliant. Birds of prey, pelicans etc. hovered overhead. The shimmering light on the water... More
