I am a local and living by the Rail Trail is a complete treat. Walking the dog, jogging, bike riding, gentle stroll, out with the family, picnics, it is perfect area for escape and lifestyle. I use the rail trail approx. 5 times a week. The Rotary Club have done a wonderful job of the flora from Leopold to Drysdale.... More

The train trip was fantastic, it shook around a lot, but the scenery was great!! No dislikes here! Loved how when we went through a level crossing, everyone waved at us!

Well sealed and from Whittigton to Drysdale is a great ride. Suitable for road bikes as well as mountain/hybrids. Actual rail embankment still visible, passing Leopold station and other iconic bits of rail history. Great early morning ride, Drysdale station is magnificent.

Now that this track is sealed it makes riding it really easy. There are toilets on the way, and the trail is well signed.

The trail extends from Geelong to Queescliff and is an easy ride. There are areas that are constantly being updated. Great for kids with parents and safe.

I am an average bike rider, however we were able to easily accomplish the trail. We rode out from Queenscliff to Drysdale. Had a short break, and rode back. Lovely way to enjoy the Bellarine area. We will do this again. One thing which was a dissapointment, is that it does not continue on to Portarlington, and then back around... More

Did this trail from Geelong to Queenscliff and back. Its a pretty trail passing by canola farms, paddocks and olive orchards. Stretch closer to Queenscliff is a scenic ride with placid blue ocean on one side. Surface of the trail is sealed to hard packed, which can be done on a road bike too. Though there are not many options of... More

We rode from South Geelong to Queenscliff which was a long slog especially for people who dont really ride bikes. There isnt a lot to see but if you make it to Queenscliff make sure you stop for a coffee before you leave!

We have ridden this trail twice. It's about 36 km each way and for us, it was an all day event both times. We are casual bike riders and rode for the sake of crossing another rail trail off of our list. The second time we rode with my sister and brother-in-law. There are not many places to buy food... Walked a bit of the trail, I really need more time to come back and do the whole trail from start to end
