The museum is very interesting for adults and kids interested in wool and the history of Geelong and the Peninsula in contributing to the textile and other industries. There... More

This buildiing doubles as a tourist information centre and shop containing quality woollen items for sale. Good place to browse through before exploring Geelong. plenty of maps and resources for free. Woollen garments not necessarily cheap but excellent quality. The adjacent coffee shop and restaurant provides quality meals elegantly served.

The Museum is housed in a beautiful bluestone building originally built in 1872, when it was one of the city's most architecturally advanced wool stores, owned by Dennys Lascelles. We are fortunate to be located only one block from the waterfront and right in the... More

I was quite surprised to see dinosaurs in the foyer as I entered, but they we were told there was an exhibition of Dinosaurs in a special room, that proved most interesting, and i hit with the children there. The rest of the museum was devoted to the sheep and wool industry, from breeds of sheep and the difference in... More

The best thing for me was the huge weaving loom which was operating making a floor rug as I had been to wool scours etc and seen the wool process before but if you have not seen this process make sure you visit the National Wool Museum at Geelong.
