Owner description: The Port of Echuca is a living monument to the 1870's when it was Australia's largest inland port and indeed the third largest port in Australia outside Sydney and Melbourne. Authentic steam driven paddlesteamers depart daily from the Echuca Wharf which originally extended 333 metres in length in the 1880's and has been recently been reconstructed.Home of the TV series "All the Rivers Run", the Port of Echuca will provide you with a glimpse of what live was really like in the late 1800's. With the new Discovery Centre now open, it is indeed an attraction not to be missed.

Visited Echuca on a day trip from Melbourne. Wanted to do Port of Echuca Discovery Centre and do paddle boat cruise. Staff on front desk went out of their way to inform us of best ticket option. Started in Discovery Centre - great display and informative. Next a walking tour of old Echuca town - informative and enjoyable. Finally a... More

I grew up in Echuca as a small child and the Port was always fenced off due to disrepair. It is so wonderful to see it again as the thriving hub as it would have been in the 19th century. Even the old paddle steamer that used to sit in the middle of the park " the Pevensey" now is... More

This is an amazing place to visit. Lots of shops, little restaurants, carriage rides and of course the paddle steamers. Good place for everyone, from toddlers to the elderly. Easy to walk around and look at everything.

When staying in Echuca it is a must to take a look at the Port of Echuca with the historical wharf and surrounding buildings. Also take a look at St Anne's Winery Cellar Door where you can have free wine tastings as well as purchase wine and gifts. Very large and spacious and well worth a look. The St Anne's... More

Took the Murray River cruise and entry package and very good value. Lots of history and interesting presentations and information for young and old. You can come and go for the whole day so don't have to rush.
