Description: The Port of Echuca is a living monument to the 1870's when it was...
The Port of Echuca is a living monument to the 1870's when it was Australia's largest inland port and indeed the third largest port in Australia outside Sydney and Melbourne. Authentic steam driven paddlesteamers depart daily from the Echuca Wharf which originally extended 333 metres in length in the 1880's and has been recently been reconstructed.Home of the TV series "All the Rivers Run", the Port of Echuca will provide you with a glimpse of what live was really like in the late 1800's. With the new Discovery Centre now open, it is indeed an attraction not to be missed.

An authentic look at the history and development of Echuca. Good and tasteful attractions especially the Gum Tree workshop. Stagecoach cute. Riverboat most impressive pity one got burnout during our visit.

We purchased a combined river cruise with the discovery centre. We spent a lovely time doing both, if you have the time it is well worth doing.

A must see if visiting Echuca, along with a Paddlesteamer ride. It was very educational, giving the history of the Port and the various paddlesteamers.

We used the discovery center a lot for information, with regards to what where to go and to see. Information on Paddle steamers, and who to talk to to get extra information. The staff are very knowledgeable, helpful and very friendly. Thank you and well done.
