Authentic steam driven paddlesteamers depart daily from the Echuca Wharf which originally extended 333 metres in length in the 1880's and has been recently been reconstructed.Home of the TV series "All the Rivers Run", the Port of Echuca will provide you with a glimpse of what live was really like in the late 1800's. With the new Discovery Centre now open, it is indeed an attraction not to be missed. « less

A quaint gravel street along the river which is set 100+ years ago just like the old town used to be. Great little shops. Cafes are a bit average for decent food but they are ok. Worth the stroll. Get free bikes at St Annes cellars and grab a bottle of wine and some cheeses from the awesome cheese shop... More

If you want a weekend gettaway and you don't know where to go... go to Echuca! Gather a few friends, rent a houseboat, and have heaps of fun! You can then go up or down the river, at your own pace and will and enjoy the quiet and beautifull views along Murray river. From the port there are supermarkets and... More

The refurbished wharf at Echuca is really a good spot to visit. The variety of old paddle steamers and the historic wharf area, together with the period buildings on the streetfront really do give it a feel of yesteryear. I have done a paddleboat ride before and highly recommend that as the best way to see the port and the... More

We took the guided tour of the Port area, hosted by Jenny, who really knew her local history and articulated it at a level for both adults & kids to understand, and really enjoy. The tour went for just over an hour & took us down the 'old' main street, through the secret tunnel under an old pub and right... More

I didnt quite get echuca at all. Its highly regarded, but 1 night and 2 days were enough for us. Unless you are making your way through the country I woudnt go out of your way. However, if you like a snails pace and steam boats, then yes you will like the place. Thats trip advisor for you i guess,... More

The entire city of Echuca is alive with music during this weekend. A must do for live music lovers with the added bonus of venues serving great food. The atmosphere was just fantastic and the weather mild for a July weekend
