Owner description: The Pride of the Murray provides the ideal setting in which you can enjoy a trip back in time to the famous Riverboat trade era of the late 1800s. This proud Riverboat is herself historic - she has always called Echuca home since beginning life as a barge in 1924, bringing redgum logs down from the Barmah Forest. One-hour cruises.

Heard a lot of hype about going on the paddle steamers so we detoured to Echuca. Whilst it was something different to do it was expensive and there isn't much to see other than the banks of the Murray which after 10 mins all look the same. The 1hr cruise for two cost a fortune.

We are probably a bit younger than the average paddle steam cruisers, but we weren't over excited by the cruise. Was also spoilt by children running round on the top deck. Staff didn't say anything to the parents.

We were on the boat for "Sailpast". Also paid for a "Calvery meal". We were dissapointed from the onset. Table settings were rushed. Some tables had cloths on them and some didn't, The 2 waitresses who were madly rushing meals out before the "Fireworks", were very unfriendly and looked unprofessional, waiting on tables in high heels. The Commentary from the... More

Had a lovely one hour cruise on the Murray. It was a pleasant experience, and lovely to sit back watch the world go by. An hour just to relax and do nothing....my idea of heaven. I just loved it and now if they could provide me with a lounge chair, I'd be in total ecstasy!!!!

This paddle steamer goes upstream for a half hour and then returns. You get a little commentary of the passing boats and landmarks. You can buy beverages on board. Children can get a certificate of their voyage.
