I enjoyed seeing the many artifacts brought by the Chinese during the Gold Rush and the longest dragon in the western hemisphere.

For an out of the way museum; this packed a punch. Plenty of history and artifacts. For $11 entry fee p/p, you have access to the museum and gardens and temple; best value I have seen all week.

Allow some tourist time at this delightful museum if you like Chinese culture and beautiful artefacts. Entry is $11 p/p with concessions for seniors/ children and is open everyday except Christmas Day 09:30am - 4:30pm. Depending on your timeframe it's well worth seeing the Yi Yuan Gardens included in the cost plus the little Kuan Yin Temple hidden behind the... More

Hadn't expected to be as impressed as I was nor learn as much about the Chinese Immigration story. We also visited the gardens which were very peaceful but a bit weary being the start of winter.

Small but informative museum telling the story of the Chineses and the gold rush beautifully. We enjoyed a leisurely visit to this well presented museum.

We were extremely impressed with the quality artefacts and displays, interpretations, care and tributes given to the history of Chinese in Bendigo. The quality of embroidery, furniture and artefacts are amazing. The short stories and photographs are great. The volunteers are to be congratulated, under the leadership and vision of Russ Jack and his team. Bendigo is very fortunate to have the community... More

Great shop which includes... More

On a roadtrip to Aussie from New Zealand we decided to drive through Bendigo because of the architecture we had seen online... We decided to have a look in the Museum and The Whole family (mid 30s parents, 7 & 11 year old girls and 9 year old boy) absolutely loved it! Longest ceremonial dragon in the world and 2... More
