Absolutely amazing. Spent ages looking at everything. Huge amount of items all beautifully displayed with information that was easy to read and understand. Outside there was more to see but the day we were there it was freezing, with rain and hail, so could only look between showers.

The Museum is worthy of a serious visit and is affordable @ $9 for Seniors. The garden is a mini version in the style of the Beijing Summer Palace. Pity it was freezing and raining. It must be delightful in good weather.

The outside of the museum and the ticket area inside the building gives you no idea of the actual size of the internal exhibition. It is large and detailed, and the 2 ton carriage made entirely of jade was a real treat. Must visit.

Beautiful display of old and new Chinese artifacts. The longest dragon in The Southern Hemisphere is kept here. Very old jade carvings were magnificent. Chinese garden and temple were ok, but as they were included in the ticket price, they Re worth. Quick walk through.

Well designed museum with interesting photos and artifacts. A little bit different from your average museum.

Our family of 2 adults and 2 boys aged 11 and 7 really enjoyed this museum. Yes, the animatronic display was "naff" but it was acknowledged as being so by the staff! We joined a guided tour (included in the ticket price) and the gentleman was very knowledgeable. We learnt a lot about the Chinese and their time on the... More

Reminded me of a bad school excursion to a museum with very mixed up items, BAAAAAAD animatronic displays (cringe) and no real 'story'. I think if you are Chinese (and this is a heritgae thing), you'd like it but I wouldn't go ever again. The Chinese garden was so lame and run down it was sad... apparently only 3 years... More

I went here with my family when visiting Bendigo and seen the temple and was quite interesting but didn't know that you had to pay to go inside the museum so that was quite expensive and not really worth the money because it is quite small but again was interesting but probably won't be going back anytime soon

Wonderful way to learn the history of the people who were instrumental in the development of the city of Bendigo.

Quite overwhelmed with what was on display when we opened the doors. Beautifully presented and heaps of information to digest.
