When we opened the door to enter the museum, the amount of exhibits simply blew us away. Really worth while to catch a glimpse of what the Chinese contributed (and suffered) during the gold mining days and up to the present. So many of the items on display are just exquisite. Thanks.

It was a lovely afternoon in the Yi Yuan Gardens and Kuanb Yin temple. Very beautiful and peaceful, but some of the art work needs restoration and a few more signs explaining what they mean. At the Museum there is a lot of information to take in, so give yourself time to read through everything.

I travelled Victoria for 3 weeks visiting several towns. This was by far the best museum not only in Australia I have been to but also home (UK) too. Brilliant displays and wonderful content. This was even more improved by the amazing staff who gave detailed person tours for everyone, they were very enthusiastic about their work and it left... More

There are a couple of festival dragons on view. One so old it would crumble if used but the other is used in a festival each year. But there is much more than that with all aspects of Chinese miner's lives on view. Interesting was to spend an hour or two although the gardens weren't impressive.
