Went to the Museum during my week long stay in Bendigo but whist the location is central and the surrounds very beautiful the content of the museum is tired. The government or the Council needs to plough some money to update it to the 21st century. Why wouldn't you have a yum Cha restaurant there which would be amazing. There's... More

We visited as part of a large group, many of whom are from Melbourne, so its a good place to show off Bendigo. The artefacts are brilliant, with interesting and amusing commentary to guide us through. With many new donations to the museum it can only get better-so good to be able to see the Dragons at rest rather than... More

What you actually have here is a fascinating collection depicting the story of the Chinese immigration to this part of Australia, the enormous part they played in establishing Bendigo and contributing to its social and economic success. There are some truly awesome artifacts and treasures to... More

Very good, chinese history when you first enter then through to some beautiful and unique relics, especially Loong dragon. Chinese gardens are so serene and relaxing, Guan Yin temple is located at the side of the gardens, lovely shrine to goddess.

A worthwhile attraction to see especially if you can get the Chinese guide we had. Very interesting and informative and a good insight into the foundation and growth of Bendigo. A must also include the Chinese Garden a big surprise inside.

The museum and its precinct with the garden and temple is really excellent. Well worth setting aside a good couple of hours or more to take in the history and stories of Chinese peoples and culture in the region. There are wonderful displays of high quality Chinese artistry and artefacts. The Loong and Sun Loong dragons are awesome. This would... More
