We were amazed at the collection here. Never saw so many treasures in one place and the detail and craftmanship are amazing.Definitely a place to visit if you are in town.

There are a couple of festival dragons on view. One so old it would crumble if used but the other is used in a festival each year. But there is much more than that with all aspects of Chinese miner's lives on view. Interesting was to spend an hour or two although the gardens weren't impressive.

This was excellent. The museum has the most amazing furniture and artifacts and the oldest Chinese Dragon in existence. There is a temple and a beautiful garden. A lot of work has gone in to putting this museum together and it is well worth a visit. One for the whole family.

Instead of an hour here, we spent several, intrigued by the huge private collection of artefacts, as well as the back stories of Chinese settlement and gold-digging days in Bendigo. Fascinating.

I was underwhelmed with my visit here. Firstly you go into one room and are not allowed to have your flash on so photos do not turn out with any quality. You then go to the next room which is a little more appealing. From here you go the water garden which was much smaller than I expected. Then there... More

My Mum and I enjoyed visiting this museum which chronicles the history of the Chinese on the goldfields of Central Victoria and their subsequent influence in the development of Bendigo. Fantastic displays of amazing Chinese artefacts. Loved the Chinese Dragons which brought back memories of childhood visits to the Bendigo Easter Parade. I agree that the outside Chinese garden is... Wow, this place is amazing, the Chinese people are incredible and Russell Jack is a direct descendant of the early Chinese families who knows his stuff. He provided us with a very entertaining tour and I highly recommend it.

Absolutely amazing. Spent ages looking at everything. Huge amount of items all beautifully displayed with information that was easy to read and understand. Outside there was more to see but the day we were there it was freezing, with rain and hail, so could only look between showers.
