Never take your children because the art work is disgusting and some one made a half pig half human with kids and looked so realistic and disgusting. Never going back again!

The Ned Kelly exhibition, together with Ned, the play at Ulumbara Theatre were fantastic. What a coup for a regional gallery to produce such one off exhibitions and then to have a play to complement the exhibition. What an amazing collaboration between the Bendigo City Council and the Gallery.

I live in Bendigo and the art gallery of Bendigo is one on the list of my priorities to take my visitors. We are very lucky to get so many fine exhibitions that we don't see anywhere else in Victoria.

i always take my visitors to this gallery building. It's an ambiance of a new architectural designs and half of the building was decorated with antiques historical paintings in 18th century. This gallery , though quite small has a interesting range of art by really good Australian artists. Really pleasing not to have to go to the capital to see Dobells, Brett Whitely etc. Had a marvelous lunch at the Gallery cafe cooked by Bec - delicious home style cooking - belly pork, lamb shanks yum!! We also enjoyed the Ballarat... More

This gallery is extemely well curated. I went to see Imagining Ned - which is sensational. However, the permanent collection is also wonderful - make sure you see the Leonard French commissioned for the State Bank of Victoria Head Office - it is sensational 11m long and stunning. You will also find a number of excellent Brett Whitely's, a couple... More

The Imagining Ned was very cool and interesting, the permanent collection was good but not quite the standard of the Ballarat Gallery of Fine Art or the Benalla Art Gallery
