I bought my young family to Bendigo on a Wednesday afternoon and we walked through Rosalind Park. It was fantastic on a hot day to be surrounded by beautiful trees and gardens but what a shame the local high school kids had overtaken huge areas. It was very intimidating walking through large groups of teens, most of whom were smoking.... More

Autumn leaves and acorns abound in Rosalind Park in June, home of the Rotary Club of Bendigo's Annual Christmas Carols in December, where last year some 6000 enjoyed the natural beauty of it's trees and surrounds. All it needs is an Outdoor stage for entertainment.to make it an even more popular attraction for visitors.

This is an original park from early settlement in Bendigo. Lovely old elm and oak trees. It is not a park with flowers - across the large, bluestoned lined Bendigo creek channel - is the conservatory and rose garden to see flowers. The park shares a large children's playground with the lovely old school, Camp Hill Primary, which would keep... More

Rosalind Park is only a minute's walk from Pall Mall and is a lovely place to walk or sit. It is worth going through both the fernery and the adjacent conservatory. You can walk up to the poppet-head lookout tower and get excellent views over Bendigo. At this point you can take a left path to the Art Gallery or... More

It is a cool place to meander on a hot day, or the place for a brisk walk in cooler times. Every age was seen going through. I particularly enjoyed the blooms in the hot house.

the new theatre precinct had an open day when we were there - would be a great place to see a show or wander around and take in the history, loads to see and do in the gardens, allow 2-3 hours

We thoroughly enjoyed the time spent looking through this garden. There was a variety of sections within this garden that made the experience like discovering different garden rooms. Apart from the general garden areas the highlights were the greenhouse with its beautiful flowering plants, the bats and the old mining tower. It is worth climbing the tower for the view.... More

A wonderful park in the heart of the city, great place to eat your take away food or have a picnic in the shade of the wonderful old trees. Popular place for locals to exercise. Take a walk up the hill to the poppet head for a fantastic view of the city. No visit would be complete without a stroll... More

Lovely park in the center of town, lawns and flowers and of course lovely big trees. This park also has an observation tower where you can climb up and see the whole area from up high. There are also sculptures near the Art Gallery which are very different. Well worth a visit.
