A beautiful old church, a must see. Architecture back then was amazing. Can easily spend an hour there.

After driving around Bendigo for a day or two and constantly spotting this building, it definitely worth taking a little time to stop and see this amazingly beautiful Cathedral.

A very spiritual experience. It would a treat to sit and breathe in the quietness and take in the wonderful architecture.

Dropping in, if only for 15 mins. as you travel through Bendigo is well worth. The quality of the building is wonderful. Because it has only recenlty been completed (in cathedral terms) the marbel is so light and modern. A calmness pervades over everything and I love the amber light that streams over the alter. Going up the main stairs... More

Located on main drag and situated in the heart of Bendigo. Exterior Structure of building is so appealing to the eye, craftsmanship is spectacular. Thus enter the cathedral proper, to such beauty and opulence. A must see for self/families/friends. Put this on your bucket list(a must)

Having visited most of Australia's main cathedrals, this Catholic one, building of which began in 1897 and St. John's Anglican in Brisbane would be my favourites. Built in a high position its spire is visible as you enter Bendigo. It is constructed of sandstone and granite and is extremely well lit. It is exceptionally large for a cathedral in a... More

Anyone can come here and feel more settled once leaving, It maybe catholic but it has a feel of serenity and peace. The colored glass is such a feature and the building is breath taking. I live down the road and sometimes they change the lighting to back certain causes, just love it when it is blue in the night... More

Nothing to dislike here, just so huge with a lovely stained glass window behind the organ. Interior was rather plain we thought but there were lovely paintings along the sides and we had tried to see the cathedral on past visits but were unable to go inside.
