Owner description: Experience the excitement and history of Launceston's spectacular Tamar River from the comfort of our unique vessels. An informative commentary from our skippers will take you on a historical journey where you will discover the stories and tales that shaped Launceston and the Tamar Valley. Travel in to the heart of the Tamar and view the navigable section of the spectacular Cataract Gorge. Sample the delights of our local wines and cheeses as you view breathtaking scenery, world class vineyards, historical buildings, rural settings and frequent encounters of fascinating wild life including sea eagles, wild duck, black swans, pelicans, plus many other varieties of water-fowl and occasionally playful seals. One of our passenger recently commented it is like a moving postcard. It is certainly a 'must do' when visiting Launceston!

We were only in Launceston for one day and we thought the 50 minute cruise was a great way to see the Gorge, some of the river and hear some local history.

We did the 50 minute cruise and it was ok. The staff were friendly and helpful and the boat was nice. However I really don't feel it was value for money. It cost me $70 for my family (3 children 6,4 & 2), for only 50 minutes and I don't think it was the best. I have done boat cruises... More

We did the afternoon tea cruise which was an hour and a half, also included wine and beer tasting. The skipper of the boat was very informative and chatty. We were given muffins, fruit, coffee and tea. A lot of money $79 each for what it was. But nice all the same.

We have just completed a 4 hour cruise and really enjoyed it. Good commentary and beautiful scenery. Plenty to see. We even managed a sighting of the white chested sea eagle and some seals. Morning tea and lunch were delicious and plentiful. I would recommend this tour.

We did the short (50 min) cruise which was a pleasant way to spend some time. The captain was enthusiastic and interesting in his commentary.

We did the 2.5 hour cruise and it was extremely enjoyable. The crew were very knowledgeable about the areas we passed and the trip included some wine tasting as well. Would recommend to all adults visiting the area but it is not really the thing if you have young kids with you.

Did the 2 1/2 hour cruise in the afternoon. The captain and his lady staff person gave a safety talk and did a great introduction by finding out where everyone had come from which really personalised the experience. A very informative commentary along the way pointing out a lot of places, other boats and interesting history of what we were... More
