Experience the excitement and history of Launceston's spectacular Tamar...

Experience the excitement and history of Launceston's spectacular Tamar River from the comfort of our unique vessels. An informative commentary from our skippers will take you on a historical journey where you will discover the stories and tales that shaped Launceston and the Tamar Valley. Travel in to the heart of the Tamar and view the navigable section of the spectacular Cataract Gorge.

Sample the delights of our local wines and cheeses as you view breathtaking scenery, world class vineyards, historical buildings, rural settings and frequent encounters of fascinating wild life including sea eagles, wild duck, black swans, pelicans, plus many other varieties of water-fowl and occasionally playful seals. One of our passenger recently commented it is like a moving postcard.

It is certainly a 'must do' when visiting Launceston!

Loved the cruise up and down the Tamar River, especially going up Cataract Cruise with the magnificent rock formations on either side. The commentary of Launcestons history and the landmarks on each side of the river was so interesting. Wine and cheese tasting, tea, coffee, cakes, biscuits & fruit included

This is a good way to spend an hour or so and a good activity for wet weather as the boat is enclosed. We did the cruise after walking the gorge tracks, so it was good to see them from a different perspective and hear the skipper's commentary to explain what we had seen.

Enjoyable cruise for 4 hours. We were given a informative commentary as we went, together with a great lunch and some nice wine. Also nice morning tea to be had and friendly crew to boot.

We went on the 4 hour lunch cruise using a voucher we had been given. We probably wouldn't have purchased it for ourselves, so we were pleasantly surprised by this lovely experience. - Plenty of seating options on two levels - Good commentary - very informative and not too intrusive - Food was plentiful, but quite simple: tea and coffee... if you are arranging to walk the gorge i would suggest you dont waste time and money on doing the cruise as we found the best view was the catarak gorge and this we enjoyed by walking the next day, however the narration of the cruise is always interesting but you can google this and save $30.00 each - personally... It's a boring 50min cruise. We paid $29 each. Don't bother at all, it's a waste of money. Just do the walk which starts from King's Bridge and you'll see more. The First Basin is very beautiful. You will also see wallabies and peacocks.
