Description: Experience the excitement and history of Launceston's spectacular Tamar...
Experience the excitement and history of Launceston's spectacular Tamar River from the comfort of our unique vessels. An informative commentary from our skippers will take you on a historical journey where you will discover the stories and tales that shaped Launceston and the Tamar Valley. Travel in to the heart of the Tamar and view the navigable section of the spectacular Cataract Gorge. Sample the delights of our local wines and cheeses as you view breathtaking scenery, world class vineyards, historical buildings, rural settings and frequent encounters of fascinating wild life including sea eagles, wild duck, black swans, pelicans, plus many other varieties of water-fowl and occasionally playful seals. One of our passenger recently commented it is like a moving postcard. It is certainly a 'must do' when visiting Launceston!

Its a gentle way to explore the harbour of Launceston and Cataract Gorge in less than 1 hour. Good commentary, new information and a different perspective on this glorious estuary.

We did the 50 minute river cruise. The gorge is beautiful. The commentary was great, very informative. Would love to come back in summer and do the 2 1/2 hour cruise

Went on the longer Lunchtime cruise down to the Batman Bridge & back. Both my wife & I really enjoyed this excursion. Morning tea, lunch, all the tea & coffee you want, a wine tasting & glorious views from the river. This is a must do attraction for visitors to Launceston, in fact a must do for locals too.

We went on the Lunch cruise and although the food and service was good, the Captain talked too much about things that weren't really relevant. Who wants to know that David Boons lived at Mowbray, a suburb you can't see from the boat ? I think he underestimated the interest in the crowd as the people I spoke to really... More

I went on the Cataract Cruise which went for 50mins. The commentary from Ross was informative and it was a nice, short cruise suitable for families. Unfortunately the weather wasn't so nice so the plastic windows were left closed but this suited me with two small children as it made the whole boat safe for them to wander. I also... More

We opted for the 50 minute tour as it was a rainy day and we were fed up walking around. We are so glad we did, we had a lovely time. Our skipper was full of knowledge and was such a friendly man. The scenery of the cliff faces of the gorge is stunning and it encouraged us to visit... More

We decided to take the 1 hour cruise to take a peek around, even though it was raining for most of the duration, it was fun and very informative. Take your camera and grab some great pics on this tour. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. If you do happen to experience inclement weather, fear not, the boats are well... More

Cruised the Tamar River out of Launceston for two and a half hours. Was really enjoyable and informative. The muffins and coffee were great and we were also treated to a nice little wine tasting of some of the Tamar River wineries produce. The cruise took us down the river and then back up to Cataract Gorge. Lots of history... More

We were lucky enough to get off our plane and quickly drive to the cruise and make it for the lunch cruise. We sat back had a delicious and very filling lunch while sipping on local wines. Couldn't have asked for a better way to start our holiday in Launceston.
