The tour was very interesting walking around the brewery & seeing exactly how the beer is brewed, bottled & wrapped to despatch. The staff are very knowledgeable & answered all our questions as we walked & looked around. We were given the different types of beer to try after the tour with cheese & biscuits which was a nice touch... More

I shouted us a tour for my boyfriend's birthday - as Boags is all he drinks in Melbourne, and I ended up really loving the history, the tour guides (very friendly), the smells (i.e. the malt) and the hypnotizing machinery inside! One thing I didn't expect is at the end we were given 3 different brews of Boags paired with... More

Didn't get time to go on a tour, but visited the tasting centre and shared a paddle sampler plus a few other follow up beers. Outdoor seating area could be made aesthetically more pleasing with some nice plants or something green, it looks very plain next to a car parking area. Staff very friendly and pleasant. Have your photo taken... More

Great tour - really knowledgeable staff. Their commitment and love for the company is remarkable. The tasting and cheese matching topped it all off perfectly. Definitely would do again.

I booked this tour for my Boyfriend and I. We were running a little late but they were very accommodating to this. Phil was our guide and we were a tour of just three people so it was nice and intimate and we got to spend more time looking at things which was nice. The tour goes for a little... More

We came to the brewery to sample some of their beers. We ordered a paddle/flight. The staff were very friendly and nice.

Felt like I should visit the brewery after reading the reviews and very pleased that I did. I was lucky enough to have Phil as my guide, who as other reviews state, was great, very enthusiastic and full of knowledge. The tour was good, although whilst we were visiting the bottling machinery had a breakdown. The tasting afterwards was also... More

We've done a lot of tours over the years throughout Australia and the world. Ghost, history, sightseeing and extreme activities. This rates as the best! Phil the tour leader was very knowledgeable and clearly enjoys his subject matter (probably enjoys a beer too). The tour was extremely interesting and well paced. Not too long in one spot or too much... More

We could not recommend a tour of Boags Brewery highly enough!! Our tour guide, Sally, was an absolute wealth of knowledge on both the process of brewing beer and the history of James Boag and Sons Brewery in Launceston. It was obvious that Sally loved her job, which makes the tour that much more fun, and the sight of thousands... More

Our tour was led by a woman whose father and grandfather worked with Boag, as did she and her husband, so she conveyed the living history of the establishment very well, bringing the modern facilities of the historic (and oldest) beer maker alive with links to and stories of the past. The tasting with cheese at the end was a... More
