Our tour guide Matt was exceptionally good, spoke clearly everyone in the group was able to hear him. He did a really good job on the beer and cheese tasting at the end of the tour. Unfortunately the tour itself was the disappointment! I have been to other tours where you've been able to look into the mash tons and... More

Back in Tasmania, Launceston this time and having done the Cascade tour in Hobart decided to see what Boags was all about. The tour was interesting and the guide was friendly and informative. It tended more towards the history of Boags then the process of beer making, which is ok as I have seen many a brewery. If this is... More

Booking essential.....The history was interesting as the brewery started off as the Cornwall Brewery WHEN IT BEGAN history starts in 1881, on the banks of the Esk River in Launceston. My husband and I enjoyed a brewery tour at j. Boag & Son this afternoon. I was a little bit concerned ad I don't like heights and part of the tour was upstairs. Don, our tour guide was sympathetic to my concerns and allowed me to remain downstairs when I wasn't sure about going upstairs. I did choose to go... More

Interesting and informative tour, the lady that took us round was good and full of information. Went on a weekend so the bottling area wasn't working. Booking essential. Beer tasting with some beautiful local cheeses which I now buy as they were amazing. Bought the Boag's red which is very nice is only available in Tasmania so we bought a... More

Did the brewery tour in December 27th 2014 and found it very informative & interesting to learn about the history of the company and the many many different processes that are performed to make different brew types of Boags Beer. Not really being a beer drinker it was a delight to sample a few of the different brews and i... More

We received a discount voucher for this tour on a deal we booked at the Tamar Valley Resort. This sort of tour wouldn't usually be my sort of thing, but after doing It I would highly recommend going. It was actually really informative and interesting :) The beers were delish! They had a great little gift shop too for some... More

Today we toured the brewery with my partner. We arrived on 10 hoping for a spot in the 11am tour but where presently surprised to have our own tour at 10am with just the two of us! We where quickly whisked into the history of Boags and how big they have expanded today. Don was our tour guide and would... More

The tour was very interesting walking around the brewery & seeing exactly how the beer is brewed, bottled & wrapped to despatch. The staff are very knowledgeable & answered all our questions as we walked & looked around. We were given the different types of beer to try after the tour with cheese & biscuits which was a nice touch... More
