On arrival for the brewery tour you are invited to wait on the second floor where there is a small museum showing the history of the brewery. The tour takes you through the factory showing the full brew process from making the wort to the packaging the bottles. To finish off there was some beer and cheese tasting which nicely... More

We didn't have time to have a tour, but if you're in the same boat at least pop over to the brewery and have a beer in their front bar. the building is historic and the staff were extremely friendly. Great nibbles and If you're a tourist try one of the beers on tap that you can only get in... More

Phil was a great tour guide. Informative and interesting. A bit of walking and stairs to climb, but that really puts you in the mood for some beer sampling (with cheese & biscuits) at the end of the tour. Would highly recommend.

I was travelling Tasmania with my non beer drinking wife so could only see one brewery so I researched and chose this one. I have always been interested in these large scale manufacturing processes and this did not disappoint. Highly informative tour though I was a bit put off towards the end when the guide had a dig at Tony... More

Do the brewery tour which includes beer tasting at the end. It's all good fun and informative. Take your time to wander through the museum for some of the Boag's history. Staff are great and very happy to answer questions. Discovering what type of cheese matches different beers is quite eye opening and all the cheese (like the beer) is... More

Went with a small group on the Boag Brewery tour and found this to be extremely enjoyable. I love a beer, have done some home brewing, and have been on other similar tours interstate, and the tour taken last week was both educational, fun and at the end great value when the tasting and food matching was undertaken. There was... More

My partner didn't want to do the brewery tour but we did want to visit this lovely old building and museum and to sample a beer or two. It was well worth the visit. The museum is interesting and the shop sells lots of great James Boag gifts. The staff were friendly and we were able to buy several small... More

The Boag's Brewery tour was excellent and enjoyable. It was fun, informative, took us all round the beer making and bottling factory with informed, passionate and cheery insights from our guide into the history and art of Boag's beer and that part of Tassie. Because it was Sunday we didn't see the factory working, but that meant we got much... More
