Friendly guide who knew her stories well. Started off in a darkened basement where she kicked a manniquin's head at us, supposedly to scare us. Walked around a few streets staring at the outsides of buildings while she narrated their "scary" history to us and ended in a stable where another manniquin was used to try and scare us. A... More

We decided to do this tour again recently as we had friends visiting from the mainland. It hasn't changed much in the five years since we last did it. It's just OK. It helps if you want to believe in ghosts I guess, but it falls a long way short of anything factual in its presentation of the city's "history".... More

I was absolutely wrapt with the Launceston City ghost Tour. Our guide was super friendly and knew heaps about the ghostly history of this city. Also our guide stayed later past the allocated time as i have an avid interest in the paranormal, i was delighted that the time did not dominate the experience... at all.... thus it totally exceeded... I am a skeptic with an open mind. By the end of the tour even I was expecting someone unseen to join us, while that didn't happen this time there was always the expectation that we'd see a ' sign'. our guide was informative and friendly and I learned heaps about my city I wouldn't have known otherwise. I highly... More

This was a fantastic experience I was a little sceptical at first but the tour guides narated the tour with great professionalism. It felt like we were actually on the streets in that era. I will go again when I make it back to Launceston. More

as a local i had always wanted to do the Ghost Tour so grabbed my 11 yo son (after being told they tone it down if younger children on the tour) and tagged along, after meeting my group at the Royal Oak (the start of the tour) we were introduced to our guide and she proceeded to explain the tour... Launceston; australia's 3rd oldest city, full of history & intrigue. You'd expect a ghost tour with substance, backbone and layers of history, instead you get dad-style gags such as severed mannequin heads and coffin lids mysteriously falling with a slam. All camp fire style stories that end in some gag to make you scream. This ghost tour would do better... More

It is actually story telling about a few dead people rather than a ghost tour and they are making money out of bare street wall. They take you around a few streets at night which you could do that in a day time to look at those places from outside for free rather than paying $55 for a family of... More
