This beautiful vineyard close to Launceston is well worth the drive! I'm visiting from USA & only a few places in California are as hospitable as this experience! It's like Napa 20 years ago! Jacinta was very professional and knowledgeable, she made this tasting awesome. And for only $5 don't miss this one!

Modern, sophisticated cellar door. The story of Josef Chromy is inspiring and the vineyard he has built is truly beautiful. We sampled wines here, bought some to ship home and took many photos of the autumn coloured vines and the peaceful lake. There is a coffee shop if you don't have time for a full meal. The view over the... More

Set in Relbia, only 10 minutes from Launceston and close to the airport, this world class vineyard is worth a visit. Classy cellar door and restaurant look out over the property and lake. Wines are top class and the staff know their wine. Enjoyed a breakfast and lunch at different times at this vineyard and both were very enjoyable, service... More

We dined at the restaurant with our family on Easter Monday and could not fault the service or the meal. The flavours were delicious. We ordered the steak which was cooked to perfection and children's meals were also good portions. The wine list is extensive and reasonably priced with some special options for those looking for back vintage wines to... More

We ate lunch at Josef Chromy on a recent visit to Launceston, having been introduced to the wines earlier in the trip. The restaurant is beautiful, and spacious, with great natural light and views over to the vineyards. The staff were young and friendly, but very competent, and the food was really excellent. Definitely worth trying.

Had lunch at the restaurant which was excellent. Very modern restaurant with great views of the winery. Feasted for about 3 1/2 hours on the food and wine . Staff in the restaurant were very friendly.

We Hobartian/s have been here for wine tastings a few times but have never able to dine here due to our schedules. We finally ticked it off the bucket list and we absolutely loved it. Nice setting, confident and attentive staff, really good food and an amazing kitchen staff. Thanks and we will be back.

Nicely run. It's not easy to find a winery in tasmania running professionally and seriously like josef chromy. Its grounds were beautifully landscaped, its restaurant serving excellent steaks, and its cellar door was so generous it actually made 17 wines available for tasting. Service at the restaurant and cellar door was second to none. Its fume blanc btw impressed me.

We were recommended this place by a relative who had told us about the wine tasting that they offered. Not being wine experts, but enjoying a nice glass when we find one, we happily went along to sample the delights. What we found was a wide array of different types of wine, expertly poured by a member of staff. the... More

Attended this venue for a wedding. Spectacular. The food and wine was excellent. Views amazing from the function room. Wished i bought more wine when I was there. Wedding was held under the trees ... was very romantic and cosy. Highly recommend as a guest attending.
