We walk the trail every week with our two dogs and thoroughly enjoy the experience. the pathways are immaculate and really well maintained with lots of picnic benches and stopping off points along the way. A credit to Mackay Regional Council.

The Bluewater trail is my preferred running trail when I visit Mackay. It is well maintained with lots of scenery to look at. Plenty of other runners to pace yourself with along the track, especially in the mornings.

I really loved the bluewater trail. I used it every day when I was in Mackay. I would also like to see some metal signs letting you know the details of the trail and pointing out items of interest such as the shopping centre, the mall etc. Loved it. Good on you Mackay City Council.

Follow the path along the river. My girls liked the playground outside the Bluewater Lagoon, where there are barbeques and picnic tables.

This is a wonderful trail that winds itself way around the blue Pioneer River. One of only two blue water rivers in Qld. Excellent for a family walk and a serious run

Great walk/bike/run track. Some areas don't have a great deal of shade so slip, slop slap! Also, some areas are quite isolated, i.e. there are no shops/people nearby, so be aware if you are security conscious. Such a great asset to Mackay, love going here & exercising in a really nice setting.

Could be used by runners, cycles, or a walk. There are lookout points, cafés and restrooms along the way. Takes you past multiple sight seeing opportunities, through... More
