If you are staying on the gold coast go to Coolangatta instead. It is much quieter and much nicer. It feel more safe and you can easily spend a week there chilling out.

Beautiful beach to walk along! The water is nice and warm, the waves are good and there's areas of rocks that are great to walk around. Would have loved to have spent more time here.

As a long term Gold Coast resident I've walked past, driven past and ridden past Coolangatta / Greenmount beach many many times but if I've been looking for a swim at this end of the coast I've gone to Kirra around the corner to the north But Coolangatta was delightful yesterday both on the beach and in the water and... Coolangatta Beach is a challenge - the distance across the sand to the water is immense. Generally a good option for families the beach is patrolled with Surf Clubs at either end. Recommend a refreshment at the TH&C Surf Club after a day at the beach

Lots of lovely soft golden sand, choice of swimming at either end =Coolangatta end at nth and =Greenmount at southern end. All facilities present , toilets showers, change rooms, lifesavers, restaurant overlooking beach, walking paths and green parkland on verge, children's playground. Walk across the road and umpteen shops.

Services by Lifesavers/flagged areas, Coolangatta Beach is perfect for all ages. There are often surf board riders at one end of the beach, so be prepared. Some afternoons you can sit and watch the local "Nippers" training too. Easy access, good parking and lovely beach walk.

A great place to visit! The little inlet near twin towns is great for families and the beach is patrolled! Even when there is bad weather there is lots to do around the area. Cinema right next to the beach!
