Clean, patrolled beach with a family friendly atmosphere and good for exercise at any time of the day. Close to facilities without them intruding on the beach or its immediate approaches.

If the pace and people at Surfers starts to overwhelm then visit Coolangatta for a quiter day out. Nice beach with plenty of convenient restaurants.

Beautiful location, clear water, soft sand, down to earth locals. Clost proximity to cafes and surf clubs. Good beach for the family.

Lovely beach, always plenty of space and great for those who detest the hustle and bustle of the Gold Coast to the north. Great swimming and very relaxing...

Coolangatta is the only north facing beach on the coast, meaning it gets more sun and you don't get the afternoon shadows like the beaches up the coast. It's cleaner, less crowded and less touristy. Great place for families, no hassles.

Very nice beach and was nice and quite. Taking a shade shelter is recommended as there wasn't a lot of shade on the beach (naturally). Very clear water.

There are two area's which have lifesavers on duty, just a lovely beach. There are walking paths all along the beach front which makes picking a great spot for the beach umbrella easy. Also great public toilets in the park area.

Loved this beach......spent hours watching the surfers. Very clean, beautiful sand and fab surf. Lots of viewing areas.
