For experienced surfers

This is the choice of the experienced locals when the surf is rolling the best. It is a secluded beach at the furthest point of Coolangatta.

I'm a keen amateur photographer so this place ticked all the boxes for me. No one cared about me standing there taking photos - plenty of people were doing it at that time of the morning (6.30am and then again at 5.30pm). Even without my camera I would have been happy sitting there for ages just watching people go by...whether... More

Most surf breaks around here are more for long boards and mini mals, Snapper is a much faster steeper wake breaking close to the nearby rocks. The surf Club is nearby.

Good little beach here, well looked after and has all the facilities needed. Felt safer here than in Surfers, would recommend to anyone looking for a good break

I'm not a surfer but we found Snapper Rocks a great place to go and watch some top surfing at close hand. The waves break very close to shore and it must be one of the few places where you can get very close to the action without getting wet! There was a surf competition coming up the following week,... Always enjoy the walk around Snapper Rocks and up to the point. Good easy walk with great views at the top. If the surf is pumping, always a great spectacle watching the action.

Great spot to surf, very famous. Some places near the rocks are protected from the wind and you can see people surfing near you !

This is now one of our favourite places, approx 40 mins from home. Awesome surf, very scenic. Plenty of room for everyone.

Beautiful beach - not too rough for little children. Patrolled by surf lifesavers. Shaded areas close by. Not too crowded - but I have not been there in school holidays.
