This is the second time we've done this walk, each time doing different sections. We started at Kennys Walk and went as far as Tacking Point lighthouse before returning. It took us about 3 hours. Some tracks, some boardwalks, sometimes on the sand. Fabulous late winter weather. Saw some whales breaching offshore - that was a bonus.

Lovely walk along the foreshore, luckily had beautiful weather. Enjoyed checking out the scenery and following the Koalas.

Good standard of walking structures, substantial quality of paths and fencing. Really good views, a few decent climbs and so need a reasonable fitness level if you go beyond the main sea wall. Got frustrated at Flynn's beach trying to find the next section, and had to turn around!

One thing I like about Port is its forward thinking. The coastal walk is well laid out with a lot of history along the way. A safe walking environment and a lot of friendly faces on the way. Bring your camera.

For walkers, this whole walk is lovely. Not difficult. Take your time. Do it in stages if you wish. Scenery and vegetation change dramatically over different sections. Breakwall section is interesting and where you will meet most people. South of Town Beach is scenic, with less people, with a couple of historical points of interest on the way. Track takes... More

This walk has now been made easier by the addition of plenty of walking areas. You can walk from Lighthouse Beach into town crossing several beaches along the way and there are some stairs as well so if you like to take your time or are the speed machine this is easy. Beware there is one nudie beach Miners Beach... More

In Port Macquarie if you do one thing it would be to walk from Town Beach to lighthouse Beach. it takes about 2 hours or a leisurely 3 hours. Simply stunning ocean views, rainforest views, koalas, dolphins, whales, bird life, goannas and of course people. I live here and love to do this walk; Make sure you take a hat,... More

This is just a classic piece of NSW coastline. Small, sandy beaches, rocky outcrops (great for climbing, although don't get too close to the surf ... this can be dangerous).
