We tried to do this each morning when we were in Port Macquarie for a family holiday. We'd walk half hour (hour return) and start the next day where we finished the previous day (by driving to the new starting point). The walk changes from being gentle and flat in stages to very steep with lots of steps, but all... More

Great views of the beaches and waves. We didn't have enough time to walk much of it, but we'll save that for next time!

The Coastal Walk is so beautiful. It passes river, ocean, beaches and forrest. Unfortunately the whole walk is not totally connected so there are some sections where you have to walk on the road with hardly any room for pedestrians so it can be dangerous. It could also be signed better. I had a couple of people ask me where... More

This 3 hour long walk can be done in short segments or all at once. The southern end is so picturesque and provides a marked contrast with the walk through the more commercial areas of Port Macquarie to the north. The walk takes you through a real variety of bush and spectacular beach landscapes along the coast line near around... More

The whole walk is beautiful and enjoyable. Nothing too strenuous, and can take it at your own pace. I do this walk on a regular basis.

Get up as early as you can and make the most of the cool morning and stunning walking paths. This is simply the best way to start each day and when you return to your hotel/apartment, cool off with a few laps in the pool before a healthy breakfast.

Some of the best things in life are still free! Invigorating both physically and mentally. Around every twist and bend is another breathtaking vista. Early morning is best to fully appreciate the the changing light as the sun rises. Take your smartphone for pictures that make for great screen savers when you return to work.

actually due to time constraints did the coastal drive, stopping at each viewpoint and visiting them all that way. they were all worth seeing and a walk would have been ideal. our favorite area was the tidal pools at miner's beach just before sunset...saw yellow coral, lots of small starfish, and some other marine life. just beautiful coastline too.

Just spectacular views but keeps you fit with steps, hills & plenty of tranquil rest stops. We were lucky enough on our walk to see a fleet of off shore deep sea fishing vessels depart...spectacular
