Wonderful Walk

This is what visitors to Port Macquarie come for. Either stroll past decorated rocks into town or go natural past, lookouts and secluded beaches, parks and historic monuments.

The coastal walk stretches from Lighthouse beach to Port Macquarie centre and you travel through rainforest and beautiful coastline wild flowers. Between May and November you can spot Whales close to the coastline and you always see Dolphins.

Excellent varied walk along the entire coastline from Port Macquarie centre to Lake Cathie if you're keen...Over 25 ks but very scenic and full of interest and local history.

This is a great short walk of around 7kms. Fine for people even of moderate fitness, although not wheelchair accessible. The path and fences are extremely well maintained and there are plenty of benches alomg the route where you can stop and take in the view of the expansive coastline.

A lovely walk and the meandering trail is paved along the beaches and grassy picnic areas. Lots of places to picnic and stop along the way.

This is a beautiful walk that takes a few hours return. You really take in the sights of Port and get a feel for this town. If you are here for more than a day or two and the weather is fine you should definitely do it

Located between Pacific Drive, port Macquarie and the Pacific Ocean is the Doctor's walk, a coastal walk where you can walk from town to the lighthouse if you wish. This is quite challenging and only the reason fit will attempt as it is quite a distance with some steep sections. However you can do as much or as little as... More

What a wonderful walk! Great views...trekking through great rainforest.definite bonus of being able to walk right onto the beaches...including nobby's, where the dogs run free and miners, where you can choose to birthday suit up.

You can start your walk along the river and breakwater, but then just keep going, round every headland a new bay, parts through semi-rainforest, most sealed, swimming beaches. Go early morning and catch the sunrise.
