The walk can be done at any time of year but in summer, it is rather hot from about 10-4. The walk can be extended either towards the town centre or to Flynns Beach.

Apart from the excellent scenery, a great feature of this walk is that it can be done in sections. This aspect offsets a couple of the negatives which are a lack of shade especially in the afternoon on a hot day in summer and that it is not a circuit so I found myself a long way from where I... If you are looking to get some good exercise whilst taking in some breathtaking scenery and beaches then this is a must. Not too hard but with just enough hills and elevation to get the heart rate up this is rated as one of my favorite walking and running tracks in Australia. A must do in Port Macquaire!

The title says it all! The walk is a truly wonderful experience if you want to enjoy incredible views of the Pacific Ocean and the coastline of Port Macquarie. It is easy to access, simple to follow and comfortable to walk for any person of average fitness. If you start at Town Beach then you might enjoy a cafe break... More

We went for a walk at the nudist beach (I can't remember the real name of the beach, but one sees occasional nudists there). It is behind the Rainforest centre. It is a very beautiful and unspoilt beach despite its proximity to the city. It is always quiet and peaceful there and the nudists seems to be very quiet and... More

Do the lot (around 8km) or just do beach to beach...e.g.Flynns to Miners (7km return) or any part to suit your fitness. My favourite way is to start at Lighthouse Beach in the morning and walk into town and have brunch...allow around 3 hours to enjoy the walk.

Great walk, great scenery along the way & can be done in stages for all different ages & abilities. Plenty of places to step & have a break while enjoying the great scenery. You can allow as much time as you want to do the walk, this depends on photo stops along the way
