We enjoyed a very relaxing 2 hour river cruise on the Hastings River, from 2 - 4pm. It was a lovely sunny day and the best conditions on the river. There was a commentary from the Skipper on various points of interest along the way. It is a great way to see parts of Port Macquarie which you would definitely... More

My husband and I hired Port Venture Cruises for our wedding back in October. The female bridal party arrived to the riverside ceremony via the River Princess and afterwards our guests enjoyed a brilliant river cruise whilst awaiting the reception. The majority of our guests stated that the cruise was a massive highlight of the day and made our wedding... More

Went on the morning tea cruise and couldn't fault it! Beautiful weather, friendly staff, great boat, lovely scenery, Really enjoyed it. When I saw the people enjoying swimming in the boom-net, I wished I hadn't forgotten to bring my swimmers so I could join them lounging around in the water as they cruised up the river. Next time!

The 2 hour trip quickly became boring with the only things to see being a couple of dolphins in the distance, a car ferry and huge homes on the canals. Wrong to call it an eco history tour. With so much interesting history In Port Macquarie to draw on very little was mentioned. What about the convicts for a start?... More

With many options for different cruises available we chose the lunch bbq cruise. Relaxing with loads to look at along the riverbank and good commentary. Lunch was good as was the cost of this cruise. The staff are chatty and are a good asset to the trip.

We decided on the 3 1/2hr river cruise with a bbq lunch and it was so relaxing. A nice touch was some commentary along the way highlighting points of interest along the river side and with perfect weather it was a great way kick back. There was plenty of food put on at lunch time which was included in the... More

According to the voucher we had received for this cruise it was called an "Eco History Cruise" and was part of the Cudo's package we purchased which included accom at the Observatory Hotel. We were eagerly looking forward to doing this Cruise as Port Macquarie has beautiful waterways and is a very old town with a fascinating convict history and... More

Many thanks for writing you review. Sorry to hear how disappointed you were. Unfortunately we just lost a longstanding skipper suddenly due to a serious illness. It looks like our new skipper was not up to speed. I guess our other option could have been to cancel the cruise altogether. I hope you enjoyed the screen with the historic pictures... More

We went on this cruise as part of a package organised by Luxury Escapes and which included accommodation at the excellent Observatory Hotel. The trip was leisurely and the commentary very informative both from an historical perspective and with respect to the local wildlife. Well worth 2 hours of your time bbay2536
