weekend away!

Checked out the local zoo, not very big but had plenty of animals. Unfortunately most of them where asleep or hiding. We still managed to enjoy a leisurely walk around the zoo.

Took my two children to explore. Not the biggest zoo but enough to amuse you for at least half a day. Highlight was feeding the kangaroo with joey in pouch. Laziest croc in croc show I have ever seen. Gorgeous black cockatoo who was just dying for company. Some great shows but the staff need to invest in a mike... More

I have lived in this area for many years and hadn't visited the billabong since my children were young. I wasn't that impressed with it then. I recently drove all the way to Queensland to visit Australia's Zoo which I loved. I had visitors last week and they suggested we visit our local attraction. Well what a shock I got.... More

I have been to visit Billabong many times in the past and have always had an excellent time. The staff are friendly and courteous, and the grounds are well maintained and organized, There are always new attractions in the works and the various programs are always run on time. Everything at Billabong is first rate, from the animal enclosures, to... More

An interesting range of native and exotic animals - including snow leopards and albino wallabies. The setting including the wide variety of tropical plants is well laid out. Cafe and shop have a good selection. Just off the Pacific Highway, well worth a quick detour.

Billabong Wildlife Park is one of the best little family run parks in Australia. I've been returning to the park for many years and it's great to see it growing an expanding. There is a great array of Australian wildlife, including endangered species. The opportunity for visitors to feed the Kangaroos and Wallabies as well as patting a koala is... More

Took the Grand Kids here and they loved it. Feeding the animals and listening to the Rangers kept them interested. There was adequate seating outside but very poor cafe.

With school in, this park was not crowded at all midweek in July, meaning we could get very close to the animals. I could see it being a less enjoyable experience if crowded, due to its small size. But we thoroughly enjoyed our day, staying until they kicked us out. We returned to the Koala enclosure several times, happy with... More

This was a spur of the moment decision visit on a day when we were chasing the humpbacks. So pleased to have added this into the activities for the day. Just a wonderful way to spend a lovely hour and a half with the adult family who a photographer nuts, walking the grounds and enclosures, feeding wallabies and emus, getting... More
