I have been to a number of zoo's but this zoo is a nice size and easy to get around. Plenty of shade in the summer and very suitable for young families with strollers etc. This would have to be the closest I have been to a pair of snow leopards. They both roam the cage and I was within... More

I enjoyed my visit and found that we could walk around without really getting wet, even though there was light rain. I was surprised to read that the zoo had snow leopards, red pandas and meerkats. Snow leopards are one of my favourite animals but I felt very sad when I saw them panting on a hot, humid day in... More

A great half day event for the family. The staff were fabulous and couldn't do enough to make your visit thoroughly enjoyable.

It was really hot when we went so we both got over walking around fairly quickly and only spent about an hour and a half there. That b eing said, we saw everything in that time, including a 15 minute talk on the penguins. Wasnt that much to see there.

the billabong zoo is fairly small but with a wide variety of animals. there are 12-13 keeper presentations a day featuring different animals (plus some individual "encounters" you pay extra for and need to schedule in advance). you're able to pose for pictures with a koala and pet him/her. there's kangaroos and wallabies to feed (including two albino kangaroos). also... A very small Zoo but no less enjoyable to spend a couple of hours. A little bit of rain did not spoil our visit as there are plenty of spots to shelter placed around the Zoo. Plenty of Aussie wildlife walking about freely. Buy a cup of 'roo food from the reception to feed the roos and wallabies, the ducks... More

We are on a family holiday and are spending a couple days in Port MacQuarie. Our eight year old son was interested in checking out the Billabong Wildlife Park. While the staff were all knowledgeable and very friendly, we were underwhelmed with our experience. There are scheduled shows throughout the day but it took us less than an hour to... More

An enjoyable couple of hours spent feeding kangaroos and wallabies, watching penguins, crocs, wombats, and patting Koalas. Maybe nothing special if you've seen them before but for kids and the British, excellent!
