If you love fruit in your wine/glass, this is the place to come to. I am a sucker for Zinfandel and Steve has to make one of the best in Australia - unfortunately many others think the same and his wine dinners are invariably booked out. To many Grenache is a softer style of wine but this is until you... More

not much choice at the cellar door and I didn't really find anything that I liked enough to buy, but the staff were really friendly and the friends I was with really enjoyed their time at Piggs Peake - they had a few bottles each. There's no pretence here, which is quite refreshing. More

This place is so unique in the Hunter Valley. It has lots of unusual wines, including an amazing dessert shiraz that goes well with dark chocolate. The staff are fantastic and you can tell how much they enjoy their job! Definitely pay a visit! More

We spent over 2 hours (some of that after closing) here on our first visit to the Hunter Valley. The girl who led us thru the tasting was great. Needless to say, we shipped 6 bottles home. Great list, little expensive compared to McLaren Vale wines, but seems to the norm in the Hunter. More

Recommend joining their 'Lucky Swines' wine club. Brilliant wines and many varieties. The winemaker here knows his stuff. Recommend the Zinfandel. More

One of the jewels of The Hunter. We stumbled across Piggs Peake a few years back and always try to stop in whenever visiting The Hunter. The staff are probably the friendliest in the area, but the wines..............Don't miss a visit, you will not be disappointed!! More

Piggs Peake is a fabulous, boutique winery in the Hunter. Steve has an extensive list of wines for tasting, all with creative, Porcine based names. The cellar door is intimate but this all adds to the charm and character of the winery. You can really see the passion for winemaking that Steve has upon visiting the cellar door. I can... More

This is one of my fave wineries as it has some amazing, to die for - big reds. Any shiraz from this winery is enjoyable and there are some that are worth the $30 to $50 + price like the Geez Louise. If you are a red fine, you must visit them, they even pour the tastes in nice glasses. More
