we found this winery by accident it was the first one we called in on and what a find! Not often I'm left with a longing to go back and get more. We purchased several wines and savoured them during our travels. Excellent tastings and knowledge, learned a lot.

This winery produces some excellent wines. It is one of the friendliest and the very knowledgeable staff are there to help not just sell some wine. There is always something new, some new grape variety to try which highlights that the winemaker is always pushing the barriers. There are a number of reliable favourites which are produced whenever there is... More

first stop on our organised afternoon of tastings and Dave helped us navigate through the list of pig themed wine names. Quirky, relaxed but clearly passionate and knowledgeable sums up Piggs Peake and Dave. we tasted a lot, learnt a lot, saw the back of their lot (extension to the cellar being built) and came away entertained and wiser. Definitely... More

Our friends had raved about Piggs Peake and we had tried one of there wines which was fab. So our first stop when visiting the Hunter was to Piggs Peake.. After several hours, much tasting and then a tour out the back to taste some barrelled wines we were sold. We joined the Wine Club and left with lots of... More

We stayed at a BnB which had complimentary fortified verdelho by Piggs Peake and our interest was piqued. So we stopped in, noting the big happy fat pig statue out the front and went inside for some of the most enjoyable wine tasting of our long weekend. The reds are BIG and the 'hampagne' is my second favourite Australian sparkling... More

We liked this winery although a little crowded when we visited. We especially enjoyed the Merlot (which was a surprise as we normally drink shiraz) and the fortified Verdelho, which we bought. Also loved the wine glasses, which I now own. Staff were very good and attentive. Would recommend a visit.

Stopped in because Piggs Peake Winery was recommended for their red wines. We started with a few tastings which were pretty awesome then got invited to try some of there new wines from the barrel and had a general chat about things.

We visited this winery after tasting their liqueur Shiraz at the Sabor dessert bar, it was beautiful. Not to mention quite a few of their other wines. The gentleman was very knowledgable and seemed to have a passion for the place. No doubt we'll be back to grab some more wines on our next trip back up to the hunter.

Having been a wine crazy person for decades I have never come across a better find than Piggs Peake. To give you an idea of why they are such finesse I had their top winemaker explain to me what they produce in one year is what Yellow Tail produces in half an hour ! I find with my experience with...
