A must visit attraction, we also attended a talk on rose maintenance. The gardens are divided into 5 themes.

These gardens are truly beautiful and well laid out and imaginative in the layout. There are gardens representing different culture eg Oriental, Indian etc. The pathway lets you wind your way through the gardens in an easy flowing manner. There is an excellent waterfall and lookout. for the kids there is a Story book(nursery rhymes) themed garden. There is a... More

An amazing place to visit. Lots for both children and adults to do., from Christmas lights to fun in the snow! Our grandchildren love the put put golf and the freedom to kick their balls in the lovely picnic area.

We hesitated about visiting the Hunter Valley Gardens in winter but it was well worth the visit with lots of flowers in bloom. Must be spectacular at other times of the year. Lots of interesting garden areas, masses of roses and water features. We rolled up for a very informative session on Rose pruning from a Rose specialist, there is... More

it's a good place for afamily day out however it lacks on offer of good affordable food which is not a low grade café style. I would like them to have extended serving hours. in a touristic location like that you cannot stop serving at 2pm...

Very expensive entry into this very average set of gardens. To be honest, we took the kids (9,7) who found the gardens boring, but were expecting great things of the 'children's section'. This area needs a revamp. Old, broken statues of kid's nursery rhymes just doesn't cut it anymore.

An all in one package really that has a great restaurant called The Cellar, and lots of little cafes, shops, beautiful gardens, a church and often has many activity events for families. Worth a visit, we often go there for breakkie and dinner, and take overseas guest there.

Love to go to the Gardens once a year to see the rose spectacular and spring gardens/flowers in October/November, but it's an expensive visit. In spring the gardens are lovely to visit. It's warm, pleasant to wander around and the roses are beautiful, and we will go again this year. Spring is definitely the time to go and we are... More
