Stunning especially with Christmas lights

Well worth a look. The Christmas lights were stunning and I recommend going on dark when they are up. They are the most stunning gardens I have been too

We visited in Winter so although we still found the gardens very beautiful I imagine it would come more 'alive' in Spring. The gardens are well maintained and the sculptures of childhood fairytales are adorable BUT could do with a fresh coat of paint!

Located approx 1/2hr from Newcastle and approx 2hrs from Sydney - The Hunter Valley Gardens are a must see if you're in the Hunter Valley Area - not to mention the surrounding vineyards, breweries and specialty shops (chocolate, cheese and olive oil tasting and making stores, gift shops, etc). The Gardens consist of a number of different gardens (a Japanese... More

The gardens are quite OK, we ware expecting a bit more for the price that we paid. But the little shopping are something else!! You can find a lot of good stuff, worth the trip!

Overrated. I do like to visit gardens and found here very overpriced for what the gardens are. Story book land made the gardens otherwise save the money and buy yourself a lavish bottle of wine......each.

My husband and I had a few days in the Hunter and visited the Hunter Valley Gardens. It was just amazing, so much to see & appreciate. So beautifully set out & maintained. We loved strolling around taking in the gorgeous grounds & having a chat to the lovely staff in the garden shop. It's a must see :)

We took our friends to visit The Hunter Valley Gardens when it was Snowtime. Never experiencing seeing snow before they were completely in awe of the spectacular. We had our photo taken in the giant snow globe as a memento of our lovely time we shared with them there. We also enjoyed a lovely hot chocolate in the Frosty's Food... More

Great for people of all ages. The grounds are beautifully kept and change their look with every season. Christmas is busy but fun...and spring is particularly beautiful.

The owners and designers of this garden are to be congratulated. They have certainly put a lot of thought and flair into this garden. Spring of course is the best time for floral displays. I like to visit in every season as they all have their charm. Yes, I agree with the comment by Maria L that the shopping village... More

I really enjoyed the Hunter Valley gardens; we were there in Winter so some of the gardens weren't completely in full bloom but on the upside we avoided the crowds I'm sure would be there in Summer. Even still it was a very impressive place. There are many different gardens to walk through, all with a different theme and all... More
