Nice little shops

Enjoyed a few hours of browsing, buying some yummy chocolate and lovely coffee. Great way to take a relaxing break from wine tasting.

The gardens are beautiful. The small shopping area in the complex as you drive in from the main road is very nice with beautiful grounds. Good options for coffee or a full service meal. Some pretty boutiques here too. Childrens playground and aqua golf. You can spend a few hours here. We have also visited in mid winter when the... More

We wanted to know what shops were available, only saw billboards. It would be good to have available in each shop the availability of a map.

Perfect weather only enhanced the beauty of the gardens. The passion of the gardeners and staff is very evident in he magnificent suroundings.

We are staying in the Hunter and called in to the village and were directed to the gardens. Wow! We have visited some magnificent gardens overseas including Versailles and the National Rose Gardens in the UK. This garden compares equally and we were really glad we paid the entry price. The price is a little high but once inside we... More

We loved the gardens! It was our wedding anniversary and were planning a quiet wander however our weekend corresponded with Easter and there were families everywhere. Having said that, the kids looked like they were having a blast and the gardens were organised with activities and amenities. We will visit again soon!

We are regular visitors to the gardens. Last year's Christmas lights were fantastic. The snow festival and Chocolate festival are even better. The gardens themselves are well cared for and beautiful. Bring your camera for some instagram worthy pics. Don't forget a map upon entry. It can get rather busy during events, and quite expensive for entry. I would visit... More

We had a quick game of Aqua golf after breakfast at one of the little cafes... a lot of fun, even if we didn't score a prize. Prepare for sore rib/arm muscles the next day. ;)

The Hunter Valley Gardens are one of the most well known attractions in the Hunter and usually on everyone's itinerary, though not necessarily for visiting the gardens. To enter the gardens is expensive ($26 for adults, $23 for seniors) and quite frankly if you have seen other major gardens in Australia or in Europe you will question the comparative value... More

Awful, not sure how it can justify charging $60 for a family. The gardens are run down, we have come in autumn so maybe not the best season but maybe should be priced accordingly; it didn't seem like it was looked after, had crappy flowers planted, the 'storybook' garden had awful statues which were in need of an uplift; don't...
