Brilliant lighting at the Hunter valley gardens during Christmas / New Year period. Definitely would recommend it for family day out.

Loved the atmosphere and the mountains views. The food and accomodation were fantastic I recommend it to travellers that appreciate nature and who likes to escape from busy city life to country style.

A great venue for both little and big "kids". Book your tickets online is my tip. The lights were beautiful, but it gets extremely busy. A family friendly, fun day and night.

I'd heard so much about the Christmas lights at the HVG. It didn't disappoint. I took my parents, brother, husband and two young children. We had dinner beforehand and arrived just after 8pm so the lights were in full effect. The gardens with the Christmas lights were absolutely stunning. We appreciated how much effort went into making it a spectacular... More

This is such a haven in the Hunter Valley and I visit whenever I am in the area as it's really worth it. There is so much to see and they have a rose garden that is absolutely breathtaking when it's in bloom, I can spend hours just walking among the roses. There is so much love and care taken... More

Went to the gardens at night as they had the Christmas lights & other themed lights all around the gardens. Can not believe how much detail went into this attraction, worth is weight in gold. Be quick and do it before it finishes.

There is no doubt that the lights are amazing and beautifully planned. However, having visited in the final week, some lights were no longer working and affected the overall experience. This was particularly obvious in the 12 days of Christmas display where quite a few of the lights were no longer illuminated while the song was sung. Despite the fact... More

Visited 16/1/2015. These gardens are quite magnificent. The plants and lawns are in tip top condition. There are about 12 different garden themes such as Japanese, Italian, Indian and each looks quite authentic although I am no expert. We were only there for two and a half hours as the day was rather hot and our 10 year old wilted... More

What I would give to be a 5 year old again and seeing this! It was a sea of magical lights - fairies stories, (the Cinderella display was fantastic!) fables, characters from movies and literature and travel icons such as the Eiffel tower and an homage to Sydney landmarks with the Opera House and Harbor Bridge. We strolled through at... More

Seeing the Christmas Lights Display is an absolute must for everyone. My husband and I visited after a friend recommended the display and going there was the best decision we made. It was colourful, fun and utterly extraordinary. It was definitely worth the $25 entry fee.
