Have never been to the gardens in autumn always opting for spring but how wrong was I!! Autumn at the Hunter valley gardens is spectacular a beautiful array of red, orange, golden and everything in between autumn colours just delightful. Though having said that still tinged with colour with incredible Italian pots laiden with hot pink geraniums, gorgeous white roses... More

I feel a $27 for a park is a bit excessive. The gardens were nice though. There wasn't much flowers in bloom at the time we went, I believe in Spring it would be more interesting.

Fabulous gardens, especially the children's story book area. Clever use of story-telling, statues and reenactments of nursery rhymes. A shame you can't take a picnic into the gardens, it's an obvious way that people could enjoy the site. If you are not permitted to take food and drink into the venue then bubblers should be provided at regular intervals throughout... More

I first went here a few years ago for the Christmas lights which were fantastic and I try to get back most years when I am home. Since then I have popped into other events and when we have visitors, the gardens are always on our port of call sharing list. Each time we visit there is always something new... More

Great place, the lights show during Christmas is beautiful. The surroundings are spectacular, a lot of places to visit nearby such as the chocolate factory. We keep coming back .

It is undoubtedly impressive that Hunter Valley Gardens were only created 12 years ago in 2003, and that's not immediately obvious. Unfortunately, the vision of one person with a lot of money, but not a lot of understanding about landscapes and garden composition has created what amounts to a vegetated theme park. A few of the displays are so lacking... More

Yes, it's expensive but when you take into account all the work that goes into not only maintaining but also continuously adding to these incredible gardens it's well worth it.

We were here about 6 years ago and said we would like to come back. We did and it was worth it, the garden has grown so much. Only disappointment they had a couple of areas closed off for weddings, but then again that was lovely to see as well.

Visited the gardens again looking better each year as everything grows and becomes more mature, planting underway for a great Spring, if visiting the Vineyards a trip to the gardens are a must but allow plenty of time as they are big
