I enjoyed the gardens and the work that has gone into making them what they are. The different styles and plants used were impressive.

We stopped here for a quick visit last Saturday. We probably didn't give ourselves enough time as we were pushed for time to be elsewhere. I did not realise how big this complex was, with not just magnificent gardens, but a quaint shopping village too. Recommended as part of your visit to the Hunter!

Just stopped in for a quick look and stayed a while. Really friendly shop keepers, nice food, Irish pub and an English lollies shop. It also holds the local grocery store for your bread and milk etc. The loveliest tailored gardens around. You could spend a whole morning discovering the place.

Absolutely beautiful gardens. Well planned and I went with my son when the dinosaur display was on and my grandchildren loved it. Have visited when the Christmas lights were on in previous years and have always enjoyed my visit. The gardens I believe compete well with well known gardens overseas.

A great place to spend a relaxing day with friends or family. Before entering the Gardens itself, there is a large grassy picnic area with lots of room for the kids to run & kick a ball around plus an enclosed playground area. There are BBQs with a few undercover picnic tables. Unfortunately, the BBQ's are either not fully working... More

We've visited the HVG for the last 3 New Years Eve's. This is the perfect place to bring the kids and a group of friends to celebrate NYE. From the kids concert to the Christmas lights and the 9pm fireworks it all works seamlessly. There is ample choice of food as well and alcohol if you so desire. The parking... More

Commendable effort in lighting up a large majority of the gardens at night. The Christmas lights was incredible fun for kids. It is best to first view the magical effect of the lights around 8.30pm. We visited the gardens by day the morning after, it was very quiet, and was pricey to view the gardens again by day. There were... More

The gardens are nice enough but nothing special and definitely not worth the $28 entrance fee. Parts of it are looking a bit jaded and the formal gardens have a bit of an artificial feel about them. I wouldn't bother.

Not a bad experience exploring such a large garden and really commendable effort in literally lighting up the whole place. There were some part of the light show that was disappointing eg the santa's elves workshop and the fairytale part of the tour. And since i'm a sucker for light aesthetics, I am giving the 'Very Good' rating bcos in... More
