We spent two days in Hunter Valley and our host recommend us to visit Hunter Valley Garden, which is the largest landscape garden in Australia. We've been to royal botanic gardens in Melbourne and Sydney but this garden is a different kind. The garden is picturesque and you can spent half day there.

Amazingly curated gardens. Worth the price. Allow yourself 2 hours to wander all the different gardens. Especially liked the story book garden.

Love seeing the Christmas Lights - such an amazing display of lights and nostalgic memories of childhood nursery rhymes on show.

Definitely worth going, expensive but good. Eat before you go as they try to get you buy food inside from the tents set up and hold you inside before you are allowed into the actually lights.

Visited with a friend. Spent over 2 hours walking around all the gardens. The staff were very friendly & very knowledgeable when asked about plant varieties. So many photo opportunities. We went early morning so very few other groups which made for a serene visit. Will return for the Christmas lights!!

This was our second year at The Hunter Valley Garden Xmas lights and we weren't disappointed. The lights are beautiful and I have never experienced anything like this in Australia before. If you are in the Hunter in December or January with the family this is a must do activity.

Hunter Valley Gardens are sensational. They have been very well designed with various themed gardens throughout the complex. There needs to be recognition of the talented people who designed and worked on these gardens when it was built. I couldn't see their names mentioned at the gardens. We visited during the day and came back at night for the annual... More

As always the Xmas lights are great and this year bigger and better. But the BUGS must be attracted to all the lights. Hint keep your mouth closed. Had a great romantic time as always. We must make to to visit again during the day next time. Car park is a pain can be a long walk depending on where... More

So pleased we went to these gardens - they were stunning and so varied. We have never seen such emaculate gardens and were so pleased we made a detour to see them before continuing our journey. Our only regret is that we didn't have enough time!
