Went on a Monday night in an attempt to avoid the crowds, but it was still pretty busy. The garden has lots of fun displays and music, spent about one and a half hours here and really enjoyed it.

A visit to the Hunter Valley gardens has been on our family wish list for many years and the special occasion of my 50th birthday was the perfect excuse to visit this year. We were a group of 9 adults ranging from my elderly parents to my partner and myself to our children (5 young adults) and none of us... More

The lights were fantastic again this year. We took a walk around the garden earlier in the day - and while it still looks great the paint on the statues in the storybook garden needs a retouch. But that is a small point - the lights were something else.

A days journey through the gardens is a walk around the world. For me the japanese garden was stunningly beautiful and the Alice in Wonderland garden a real treat for adults and children. I was lucky enough as a visitor to the region to be there for the lights at Christmas which is a must do if you happen to... More

We had a lovely afternoon strolling around the HVG.. Most shop staff were friendly, However, one shop i was in 'The TWIG ,the staff were very rude and ignorant. They were NOT at all busy on this quite afternoon. I shudder to think of the service they give to the many many tourists when extremely busy ! Disappointing at The... More

Went to see the Christmas Light Display and was amazed at the spectacular sights. Dragged hubby along and he was pleased that I did. We were both very impressed. A sight everyone should see once in their life

Visited this attraction in 2012 and returned there last week for a day and night visit. By day they were as good as in previous years and there was a bonus on the night with spectacular lightning display in the surrounding hills while we waited to see if the Xmas lights would be open for all to see from 7.30... Amazing. Book your restaurant well ahead of visit. Pity that rest of shops in the village don,t stay open later when lights are on.

Last weekend my husband and I went to see the 1.5m Christmas lights on display. We turned up at 7pm and there was a massive queue. Ironically the prepay queue was longer and slower moving than the buy on the door queue. Tip 1- based on our experience don't pre pay. The gardens open at half seven but there are... More
