Plenty to do here for all age groups, including breakfast and coffee shops, markets, aqua golf, knick-nack shops and of course the beautiful gardens

I came here with a friend from Canada and it was such a cool place to wander around. The childrens book section was very cute and the rest of the garderns were very picturesque. I'm not a garden person myself but I really enjoyed my time walking around here. We stopped for lunch in the cafe, the food was average... More

My visit for the hunter gardens was not good as I was expected. I expected it to be bit bigger and to have more variety themed gardens. As I visited in early September there was not much flowers as well. So mid or end of September would've been ideal.

The gardens were established just over 10 years ago and to a non gardener I appreciated the enormous amount of work that has gone into it. I probably got more enjoyment reading all the old nursery rhymes in the childrens area (what does that tell you). It is worth seeing. I do not believe it was too expensive considering the... More

This has possibly been done to death, but if you are a gardener, or even not you will love a day out here. I dragged my husband around for 4 hours and he wanted to spend more time taking photos- and this man is not a gardener. It was great to go early in the week- no crowds and the... More

There are different themed gardens here, from Asian style to Indian to Fairytale gardens, was great just strolling around.

During a very pleasant day in the Hunter Valley, we intended to visit the Gardens but as time was limited the cost of $52 for two people seemed excessive. We opted instead to visit the pleasant but contrived group of shops and cafes.

Unfortunately we didn't have time to visit the gardens but enjoyed a late lunch at one of the eateries and enjoyed visiting all the little shops there.

I thought my trip would be all vineyards and restaurants- but hubby persuaded me to go here- and it was fantastic- well worth it- stunning gardens- especially the european style gardens at the top. Story book land great for kids and all of us grown ups that still love to be kids.
