This was our last day in the Hunter Valley - everything else had been amazing. We were so disappointed with our trip to Hunter Valley Gardens. I agree with what others have written - sections were closed off and we were not advised of this on entering. The young lady in charge at the service desk was rude and the... More

Nice to visit. Gardens are very pretty best to check the seasons as some of the gardens are dormant in some months and not as pretty

We had a quick visit to the gardens. Booked a train ride ($7 ea) and paid $26 entry fee each. Felt that was a bit expensive on entry, but enjoyed the informative commentary of the train so felt the excursion was worth it. Better than just walking around gardens on own.

We have visited the Hunter Valley Gardens a couple of times, in Summer and in Winter and enjoyed it both times. However, Winter isn't quite as colourful as Summer but then again, the crowds are not as big either. Weekends it is busy with tourist buses and lots of visitors so go during the week if you can for a... More

Even though it was winter, it was still beautiful with the gorgeous trees, plants and shrubs planted, and some Autumn colours still remaining. I was not expecting it to be so beautiful as last time I went was spring. The 'Snowtime' for kids was amazing, though we ourselves didn't participate in the activities. Just watching the kids faces was awesome!

Gorgeous planned gardens - go see Xmas lights - out of this world!!! Take a train ride if you don't feel like walking - have seen gardens both at night and during the day! Night time Xmas lights are gobsmacking - one cannot describe the magic and all the hard work gone into the displays. Absolutely jaw dropping

My two little boys loved the Japenses Gardens and even sat under the temple imaging they were ninjas meditating! I felt like Alice in wonderland:) You absolutley must visit this... More

There are some good shops and friendly atmosphere in this tourist centre; as well as beautiful gardens.
