A lovely portion of the city...great for a picnic or a Sunday stroll...watch the big ships come into harbour With a little more development (more tourist sites, inc. a casino, etc)...we will soon have a really great city center here in Newcastle

This park has evolved over time from the train goods yards & power yard to an open huge area for families to enjoy. The weekends get hectic & parking is at a premium. You can walk the foreshore, along the harbour or into the centre of Newcastle CBD from here.

The Foreshore Park has some great eatries, plenty of park benches to sit and lovely views across the water to Stockton, the wheat silos and it's fun to watch the tug boats guiding bulk carriers in and out of the harbour.

Rode bicycles from Carrington to Newcastle Beach along the beautiful foreshore park - easy access and a great way to spend a Sunday.

The Foreshore is a beautiful place to go,have fun with the family, and just to walk along the waterfront is a lovely way to enjoy our city.I don't dislike anything along this stretch of walkway.

Very pleasing on the eye. The Foreshore was a great walk. The Restaurants on Queens Wharf are a bit pricey, but very nice food.

A beautiful park right on the edge of a magnificent harbour. The yachts were racing and formed a wonderful backdrop for all the Father's Day family picnics. The first day of Spring, visiting my family in a surprisingly beautiful city. More people should make the trip up from Sydney.

The foreshore does a great Anzac dawn service. But also walking and riding paths, many photo opportunities, beaches and lighthouse, restaurants. Sensational view in the middle of an easily accessibly city

A lovely place to visit. Good play area for kids. Lots of space for picnics. Very restful. Nice to even just walk through the park on the way to Nobby's Beach.
