We drove our own car around the park, We got there early to rent a buggy, but were put off by the price, $69 for 3 hours, near impossible to see all the attractions in that time. Had a great time at the zoo

Hadn't been to the Western Plains Zoo in many years. No significant changes. It's great to see the animals with so much room, and all had good vantage points. The baby animals such as the rhino, hippo and the lion cubs were a big hit with the kids. Some of the talks were very informative, others a bit dry and... More

Western Plains Zoo is a great place to take the family. It's nice to see a zoo with so much space that you don't feel sad for the animals. We hired bicycles and found this to be the ideal way to get around.

Great sized zoo. A great variety of animals. Most animals just slept or sat down the whole time as they don't have any thing to entertain themselves with. Monkeys, lemurs and otters had a enclosure with toys/playground etc. Fantastic idea to be able to drive a car, cart or bicycle around the zoo! My 7 yr old thought the zoo... More

We did the breakfast tour where we got to feed the animals and it was great! Zoos are usually zoos but this one is very different and a very Australian zoo the way zoos should be.

Arrived early and hired a 6 person golf cart to travel around for 3 hours. Much more fun than driving a car, kept everyone entertained, but make sure you have warm jackets as it got a bit chilly with the wind. Great day out with family and the best was being able to come and go as the youngest &... More

We liked the way we could drive our car through, with plenty of parking at the different spots to see the animals.
