They have feeding times & tours for several animals. We went around the zoo in my car in air conditioning on a 35+ C degree day & we felt like we had just driven on to the plains of africa for some of the animals we were so close without any bars between us! My favourite was the giraffe that... more

Recently went to Dubbo during a week off mainly to see Western Plains Zoo and I have to say that it was shocking! The grounds are not that well maintained mainly just dirt and weeds and the Rhino enclosure disgusted me as they had fenced the trees off and had limited access to shade. My sisters main grip with it... more

This trip was awsome ... riding the bikes around the zoo was a lot of fun and good, healthy fun for our family of 6 but the best time we had was on the tours. We had a private tour feeding the lions, which was an incredible experience which fired the boys up ! My fearless 9 year old was... more

We took our kids on the 5 hour drive from Sydney to Dubbo Zoo for the bank holiday weekend and were very excited about the trip. However overall I would say that the zoo is a bit over rated. As zoos go it was fine but it was a pretty pricey trip and I didn't think it was good value... more

This was my 2nd time to 'Dubbo Zoo'. The first time was 10yrs ago. This time was with my partner and my nearly 7yr old. We all had the BEST time. Fortunately, Zoo tickets are valid for 2 days which you certainly need a second day in case you miss anything. We chose to drive around the nearly 6km circuit... more

My wife & I stayed overnight at the zoo safari lodge on the 11/11/08 and had a great time. the lodge type accomadation was comfortable & clean. A small fridge, ensuite, a small 4 seat outdoor setting & tea/ coffee were all on hand. bedding was a double & 2 singles which would be a bit cramped with 4 adults... more

Occasionally when on holidays there’s an opportunity to do something that is fantastic fun and a unique experience – that’s Dubbo Zoo and the Zoofari experience. We all (kids aged 6 and 8) had a blast and talked about it for days afterwards. We decided to visit the zoo in the morning before Zoofari check in at 2pm. Be aware... more

We hoped this was going to be the highlight of our holiday to NSW and we weren't disappointed. We stayed the night in 'Giraffe' lodge overlooking the african animals on the savannah. What a fantastic time we had. Right from entering the zoo on the first day, we toured around on bikes (included in our package) and listened to the... more

We took the kids to stay at the Zoofari lodge @ Dubbo zoo. What an experience! The zoo itself is great but the tours which are part of the accommodation package were fantastic. The lodges that you stay in are fairly basic but clean with heated floors in the winter. The lodges overlook the savannah where giraffes and zebras graze... more

I booked a night stay at the zoo for my husbands 50th birthday. I booked 6 months in advance and had to fully pay 90 days before the trip. The tent we stayed in was ok, but not worth the amount of money we paid. It was next to a water pump, which kept on switching on and off for 24... more
