We had a great time with our 6 and 8 year old. It was cooler the weekend we were there, so the animals were quite active. We did the African Savannah tour and the early morning walking tour and thought they were fantastic. We saw parts of the zoo the general public don't get to see, and saw some of... More

East amble by car and on foot around the exhibits. On day one we rented a six seat electric car, but soon realised you can do the zoo in your own transport. It was a good novelty ride though. Staff were all friendly and helpful. See the meerkats and the otters with the kiddies for an unforgettable experience.

We were a group visiting in April and the zoo was more like a holiday camp for kids. Not a great deal to see and very few animals. Definitely would not return and it was a waste of money. The tour guide was very good.

Great place to visit with the kids. Very spread out so the only time you saw crowds was at the feeding shows. Animals didn't disappoint. Some were a little far away but we're basking in the shade as it was a hot day. Loved the giraffes, tortoises, rhinos, hippos, tigers, and elephants. It is a 5km track, the first 2km... More

The animals are kept in a mostly natural environment and are easy to access. Not all animals were active as it was a hot day. We started early and saw quite a few animals being fed and active but some animals are hard to spot eg lion, tiger etc. You can't take scooters into the zoo. We drove and walked... More

Great layout, good fun to bike around and take your time to see all of the animals. We stayed in Billabong Camp -- really well run!

We spent two days exploring the zoo with our three kids. The first day we cycled around and were surprised at how much we saw. We hired one bike n tow which had a very high seat that unfortunately couldn't be lowered. Highlights were the black rhino talk, meerkat feeding, Sumatran tiger, giraffe feeding and the gorgeous tortoises. Unfortunately there... More
