This is an interesting and very scenic drive. We stopped to look at the falls at Ebor and I would suggest others do the same. Allow a little longer in travel time than you might think as the road winds it's way through some steep hills and valleys.

Spectacular scenic drive with some memorable stops: Point Lookout, Wollomombi Falls, Dorrigo National Park Skywalk, Bellingen and Dorrigo cafes. Connects the wonderful New England with the fantastic Mid North Coast and is the gateway to the New England region of NSW. The road is a bit bumpy in places so take care and keep to the speed limit and enjoy... More

We spent a full day driving from Port Macquarie to Armidale via Waterfall Way - we stopped at 5-6 waterfalls and several look outs. Get a map of the way in the tourist centre in Bellingen to help plan what you can fit in. We especially liked the Oxley Wild Rivers park at the end of the way near Armidale.... More

New England National Park is definitely world class. It is one of Armidale's hidden treasures and is a very worth while place to visit for either the serious bushwalkers or a day trip.

Very scenic to 'pretty' - parts look like New Zealand, others like the Snowy Mtns - one area is called 'Snowy Mountains' as it's often covered in Winter snow. Impressive waterfalls along the way to Dorrigo which has a forest canopy walk way and adjacent cafe and info centre. Well worth the effort!

Most areas on the waterfall way have rest areas although not always with toilets. In Autumn and Spring it can be quite foggy particularly in later afternoon and early morning. Pretty countryside and rainforest with great views at Dorrigo and Ebor. Spectacular after heavy rain!

This trip was lacking in water at the various falls, due to the severe drought conditions here at this time. But there was a bit of water flowing so it was not a wasted trip by any means. Always a pleasure to visit the little village of Ebor.

As part of a road trip with friends, we took a diversion from the Pacific Highway up the Waterfall Way, stopping off at most of the falls and attempting a few of the trails in the process. Spectacular falls, healthy bush/forest. Great to get out there and observe nature doing its thing. As previously said, it's best to take your... More

The 'the Waterfall Way' is the main route between Armidale an Coffs Harbor and joins the new England Highway at Armidale it is a challenging road and takes some degree of care. I enjoy the beautiful views and the surrounding rainforest and waterfalls each time I drive through. Also some of the streams can be fished for Trout and it... More

We decided to drive inland from Coffs Harbour and were delighted to discover this drive. Unfortunately we only had time to do it in a day but could have spent a lot longer hiking and visiting more waterfalls. Was really surprised to see water during the summer.
