This was on our list of things to see in Te Anau and we were certainly not disappointed. We were very impressed by the way the Real Journey team managed a large number of people. The team knew their product well and were able to share this information in an interesting manner. The contrast between extremely loud rushing water and... More

This was a really unusual experience. A boat ride across the lake to the site of the caves. We walked into the caves and then climbed into a boat and in total darkness we could see all the glow worms. Disorienting and mind blowing. Really enjoyed this trip.

This was very interesting, particularly as I'd never seen them before. Beautiful scenery. Kiwi friends I were with said they had been numerous times before and it was better then so whether it was time of year or the fact we had one rather noisy and irritating family on the tour. I thought it was good

Te Anau glow worm caves - real journeys- professionally managed, an hour return boat trip, about 20 to 30 min inside the caves, the caves themselves are nice but i guess only if you are first timers; there are no cave halls or stalagmites and stalacites; pretty narrow cave and the sound of rushing water is quite deafening; the glow... The title says it all. This is a fantastic excursion with knowledgable guides. A must do if you're in the Queenstown / Te Anau area.

The GlowWorm Caves was one of our favorite parts of the trip! The whole thing was really well put together. I haven't don't glow worm caves before but have done caves and usually it's a mom and pop production, but this was first class. They really went all out. I think we would have enjoyed the day trip as opposed... More

We booked with Real Journeys. We went on an evening tour so obviously there was no scenery to look at on the boat trip across the lake so we spent time looking at all the stars. I actually enjoyed it being dark it added a bit of mystery and suspense on arrival when we followed the walkway up to the... More

This tour is well worth the drive to Te Anau. Take a boat ride from the centre of town to the Cave where you receive information about the caves and the Glow Worm life cycle. You are then taken into the caves where you are first on foot seeing some spectacular waterfalls. After walking around 200m you hop in a... More
